Etrex SE Max zoom-in level 12 meters ?

Hi, new to the forum.

I've been using a Etrex 10 and 22x previously.

I'm sure the max zoom-in level on the 10 and 22x etc. is 5 meters ?

I tried zooming in on the Etrex SE and the "closest" is 12 meters. Is this correct?

This is not very helpful when you are riding in the mountains and trails are not well used, so being off track by 12m is very bad.

12m off the trail is quite massive when riding single track.

I can't tell you. I no longer use the EtrexSE after Garmin introduced a bug in November 2023 that stops track recording at 167 km. The route continues to be recorded, but the route length remains at 167 km.

Garmin has been aware of the problem since 2024, but is either unwilling or unable to release an update that fixes it.

If you need to record activities longer than 167 km, I can only recommend that you return the device to the retailer as soon as possible.

Oh no, that's not great.

Also having to go to a menu to enable Zoom In/Out is stupid.

They should have kept it the same as 22X/32X
