Error Verifying Mobile Number - "The phone number provided is blocked for verification."

Hi there,

I have the following:

iPhone 15 Pro Max
iOS 17.5.1
Solid WiFi
Solid Cellular Connection
1. Located in Malaysia
2. Cellular provider - Maxis
Garmin Messenger v1.18.1

I am trying to verify my number and keep getting a "The phone number provided is blocked for verification." Screenshot below. I have tried with a different number that I owe, and I am getting the same issue. What can I do to resolve this issue?

To do so, visit the Product Support Contact Page and input your inReach device or Garmin Messenger App for the product.

Phone Number (including country code)
Phone Carrier - VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) number may work based on the carrier and if it is an SMS-capable number
Phone Model
Android or iOS version of the phone
Location (State or Province & Country)
Date/time of last verification attempt
Did you receive a 6 digit numeric code?
What error message was displayed in the Garmin Messenger app (if any)?

If they contacted Product Support with the requested information, it has almost certainly been resolved by now.
