Garmin Golf not ending round

Good day,

I am experiencing a recurring issue with my Garmin Fenix 7X while using it for golf. This has now happened twice in a row.

After completing my round, I properly end it on my watch. However, when I open the Garmin Golf app, it still indicates that the round is active. If I then end the round through the app, the scorecard is saved, but none of my tracked shots or distances appear.

Furthermore, when I start a new round the following week, my watch again shows a “round still active” notification from the previous game. I then need to manually end that round before I can begin a new one.

Could you please assist in resolving this issue?

  • So my last 2 recent rounds. Hane both saved correctly with no reboot of watch. Once saved, they then come up with “your activities are ready to view” on the watch. Then in the app my shot map is working again

  • Same issue here, Garmin Fenix 7. Has someone figure it out how to fix this?

  • I have the exact same issue as well.

  • Im also having this problem with my Epix. Got a fairly generic ‘send us a log next’ response. Surely Garmin have worked this out by now

My watch updated last week, and on the "What's New" tab in software update, it stated "Golf Stat Tracking Update". I thought they fixed the problem, but I played yesterday. Watch restarted again, and all shot data is lost. Can't believe a massive company like Garmin takes this long to fix an issue.

  • So I did all the updates through Garmin Express but issue not fixed. Played a round today. The watch (Epix Gen 2) did prompt me to save the round after logging my score on the 18th, but then immediately rebooted. Synced with my iPhone and the Golf “activity” did sync to Garmin Connect but not the Golf “ round”. On the watch I started a new round of gold but watch prompted me that there was another round in progress. Ended that round and saved it.  It did then synch the Golf “round” to Garmin connect, but alas… no shot map data. Very disappointing

  • So latest apdate hasn’t fixed mine either. I had 2 rounds that worked, then back to the same issue again. I have since gone out and bought the CT10 sensors for all my clubs to see if that fixes issue. They all work fine while playing. But then due to this issue of shot map not uploading I still don’t get any data. So this issue also make Garmins own sensors useless as it doesn’t upload the data or shot map. Can’t believe this. Have now also emailed Garmin. Will update if they respond

  • Epix user here. Updated to map version 25.30 and played a round today. Issue still not resolved: watch reboots after saving the round. Scorecard does not get recorded. Have to start a new round to get prompted that there is already a round in progress. Saving that round again does the trick, however, shot maps are not available.  Please confirm that Garmin is aware of the issue and is working on a solution.

  • I have tried ringing Garmin, but can never get through, the chat feature isn’t much help, they don’t seem to look at or respond to forums like this & I sent an email on 16th November but have had no response to date, just the automated email to confirm they have received it.

to make matters worse I went out & bought full set of CT10 sensors to see if this helped & to get more data… but unfortunately without the shot map uploading Garmins own sensors are useless
