Garmin Golf not ending round

Good day,

I am experiencing a recurring issue with my Garmin Fenix 7X while using it for golf. This has now happened twice in a row.

After completing my round, I properly end it on my watch. However, when I open the Garmin Golf app, it still indicates that the round is active. If I then end the round through the app, the scorecard is saved, but none of my tracked shots or distances appear.

Furthermore, when I start a new round the following week, my watch again shows a “round still active” notification from the previous game. I then need to manually end that round before I can begin a new one.

Could you please assist in resolving this issue?

  • End the round on the watch to allow for the round to then be synced over to the Garmin Golf app vs keeping track on both the app and the watch.

If you start the round on the watch, maintain keeping score on the watch and then the round is ended and synced over to the Garmin Golf app. If you start a round of golf on the Garmin Golf app, you must enter and maintain everything through the Garmin Golf app using live scoring with the round then being ended on the Garmin Golf app which will end it on the watch.,

Everything can be recorded and utilized during a golf round directly through your watch without the need of the round being started on the Garmin Golf app as well, and starting the round on the Garmin Golf app is not needed unless you are wanting to utilize live scoring.

    Hi.

Thats what I did. What I usually do is,when I am standing on the first tee. I open the round on my Garmin Watch. Then I play the full round on my watch and end it on my watch aswell. Then when the round is ended and my watch face is back to normal, I then access my Garmin App to check my shots. Its then when it says round still active. Even tho I ended it on my watch. The scorecard is there but I cannot see any tracked shots.

  • My experience is, that after ending the round on the watch, you must get the message "Activity is now ready to view" on your watch. If this does not happen, I have to connect my watch to my pc and sync it via GE. If then the round is not visible in GC, the round is lost ... this happens sometimes more than 1 year ago, but not since then ...

  • Same issue here. The watch prompts you after entering the 18th hole score if you want to end and save the round. Last 2 times the watch seems to be rebooting. It briefly shows a screen that references maps (can’t remember exactly what it says) before it defaults to standard watch face.  I then have to start another golf round for the watch to tell me another rounds is already in progress. I choose that one to then end and save that (current] round. No shot maps are being transferred to the phone and golf app. Started 2 weeks ago.

Same here. Everything worked fine before that.

  • Same problem for me but appears to occur when I play 18 holes.  9 hole games seem to be okay with respect to getting shot maps.    Has anyone from Garmin described a fix?  Really frustrating.

  • Please try uploading the activity through Garmin Express . That should get everything updated and back to ending the round properly for future rounds of golf.

  • I had the exact same problem on Venu 3 before upgrading to Venu 4.

I’ve played 2 rounds on my Venu 4 and have not experienced the reboot.

i also have Premium Golf Membership that does not work on Venu 4.

i still have not heard back from Garmin when Premium Membership will be available on Venu 4.

Paid the annual amount but not available.   Hmmmm.

  • I have reached out to you via direct message to get some additional info on the concern you mentioned. Thank you.

  • Same thibg over here with my garmin epix pro gen 2

third round not being saved properly
