Garmin Vivoactive HR - Downloaded Golf Course Issue

I can successfully download course through my mobile phone and sync them to my Garmin Vivoactive HR.

When I proceed to the "GOLF" widget, the downloaded course DOES appear after GPS finds it.  When I select the course, instead of loading the hole by hole stats, I receive the following error message "golf course failed to load".  This comes immediately after the message "downloading course".  I only have ONE course downloaded to my device.

  • I've went through every suggested step in this thread but still golf course failed to load, Garmin please advise.

  • Yep.... Exactly the same... I've deleted, factory reset, reinstalled and same issue.... Was pretty painful playing today ... Can you help here Rob. It's clearly a software bug

  • I am having the exact same problem. Please contact me how to fix.

    Thanks

  • Hi Rob,

  • Same problem. I even tried a different Garmin device, same issue.

    I have a Vivoactive HR

  • Hello, I know this issue has been ongoing for awhile, but our engineering team is working hard on a fix. In the meantime, can you all please try the following when you have a chance and let me know whether it allows a Golf Course to load on the watch?

The idea is refreshing the connection completely between the watch, app and phone.

    1. Open the Garmin Connect app
    2. Tap on Menu >> Download Golf Courses
    3. Delete all of the currently downloaded courses (iPhone – swipe right to left and tap delete /// Android – press and hold down on course name until Remove Course appears and tap Remove)
    4. Tap menu >> tap Garmin Devices >> remove the vivoactive HR / device from Garmin Connect
    5. Force close the Connect app and delete/uninstall the app from your phone
    6. Navigate to your phone’s Bluetooth settings >> tap on the vioactive HR / device and unpair/remove the device
    7. Restart your phone and soft reset the watch/device by powering it off
    8. Go to the app store on your phone and download the most current version of the Garmin Connect app
    9. Open the Connect app >> log back into your Connect account >> and go through the steps of ‘Add Device’
    10. Power the watch/device back on and put it into pair mode
    11. The phone and vivoactive HR will sync after they finish pairing
    12. Hit the menu button >> tap Download Golf Courses and redownload a nearby course
    13. Tap the sync button in the Connect app next to your device
    14. Go outside, with a clear view of satellites, and try to load the course in a Golf activity on the watch/device
  • I have done all the recommended steps.

    Still no fix.

    Can you advise?

  • If you haven't been added to the ticket, we will need to do that so you are notified when a fix is released. I am sending you a private message.

  • I've dinner all this and this has not fixed the problem
