Using the Approach S62 with the Android Golf APP - Notifications stop

Good day.

My watch s62 stops after some time with notifications from the Phone. 

Phone samsung s20 note

Checked all permissions and they seem allright.

To solve i need to uninstall garmin golf app and reinstall. Then for a while it is working.

I did not had this issue with my s8plus.

Android version on the phone is 10.

Does anyone recognise this behaviour.

  • The new Android Golf APP that will resolve the smart notifications issue is imminent. Please be sure to update the Golf APP through the Google Play store as soon as the new update arrives.

    I updated the garmin golf app.

    And up to now all is working fine.

    It has worked for several weeks, but now it is not working anymore.

    If i delete the Gamin app several times and reinstall ithe app, it works for a short periode of time.

    This is really disappointing and use as a smartwatch was my reason to buy this watch in combination with the golf app.

  • I too, and for reasons unknown, have had limited success with the latest update.  Clearly there is an issue with your software and performance of your watches.  Please advise as to how I can make application for a refund as I am now outside of those parameters with Amazon.

  • I am sorry you are experiencing issues again. All reports have thus far, stopped worldwide until both of your updates today. Without going to the extreme of deleting APPS and Bluetooth pairing again, do the basics resolve the behavior that normally work?

    IE: If you notice smart notifications have stopped arriving, open the Connect Mobile APP, sync your watch and sync with the Golf APP. Test again.

    Then only if still needed: 

    - Power your S62 off and back on again. Restart your Android phone. Test again.

    yes, i returned mine. four hours with Garmin support on 6 calls in first three weeks of use. a defect Garmin should acknowledge. AND I paid $500. Now $400 just 3 wks later. Maybe Garmin is discounting due to defect.

  •  I have been having the same issue for 3 months now.  Get messages/texts occasionally and not shots show up.  Scorecard only works randomly as well.  I have the Samsung S21.
