Auto shot data missing on some holes

I use a Forerunner 935 which has auto shot tracking similar to other models. This has variable success in detecting shots, with some holes not detecting any. At the end of the round, when reviewing on Garmin golf app, I can manually add/edit shots on holes where a shot has been detected, but I can not add any shots to holes where a shot has not been detected (yet it still has a score in the scorecard which I entered during the round for those holes). Is it possible in the Garmin golf app to add shot tracking on holes where zero shots were detected with auto shot tracking?

  • My guess is we cant add shots to a hole  that has no shots recorded because we cant define where the added shot finishes. Nor can we move the endpoint of the last recorded shot..

which is rather bizarre when Garmin tells us the watches cant detect putting so how does the software know where approach shots finished.

  • This happened to me today. One hole is missing the data altogether and there is nothing I can do to fix it post-round This problem has been reported 3 years ago but Garmin ignored it. On Golf Pad app I can easily fix it or move shots recorded on a wrong hole to another hole and I don’t even need to pay. Ridiculous.

  • This happens all the time. Today I hit my tee shot within one foot of the hole, and the app shows my endpoint off the green about 20 yards away. No way to change the endpoint. You can change the start point on added shots, but can't change the endpoint! Come on, Garmin, how hard can it be...
