Carplay support

It will be nice to have CarPlay availability for Garmin Explore. Using CarPlay on my bike and enjoy if I can use Explore . Is there any plan on this side by Garmin ?

That's Garmin's failure, then. Vehicles are used for more than city driving, you know. I do overland camping, where I take my Jeep 150 miles off road. If Garmin can't get me there, I simply won't use Garmin…

It would be very handy that the Explore App works with CarPlay! We are a 4x4 Off Road Club in Spain and Marokko. We use Explore App with more than 125 offroad cars.

result is I've deserted all my Garmin solutions, and do not upgrade anyway towards new ones , for some more open ones ...

the question was not to have Carplay on a car (or a motorcycle) but to have Garmin explore on Carplay ...

This is an outdoor app, not a car car navigation app. Simply use the Maps on on your iPhone. Your request will never be answered guaranteed.

thx for answering; I use it on my (motor)bike for "outdoor activities"; and it is easier to read on a carplay screen as on iPhone ;)

If Garmin can't get me there, I simply won't use Garmin to get there. Gaia maps will work on my iPad or iPhone just as easily if Garmin doesn't want to try to tap into that HUGE market of customers.

Agreed, Roadmaster. Sadly, Garmin doesn't seem very interested in listening to customer feedback. One of their sophomoric shills locked a thread I created about Basecamp problems back in January and I've more or less written off this forum as a decent place to get support for that reason.

I think we'd be better served to use Gaia on our iPads with a firm mount to keep them secure. It's kind of expensive, but at least it does what we need it to do.

You must not forget that Explore is just a companion app for Garmin’s devices. A company needs to earn money to pay their employees, they need to sell something. That’s why this usage scenario is not interesting for Garmin.
