Activity not syncing on Garmin Connect from Vivofit

I am having an odd issue today - I synced my vivofit via my Garmin Connect app on my iPhone6, and it all updated fine except for my Activity, which still shows Monday's date and activity.

I was watching my heart rate on my vivofit constantly last night, due to frequent disconnects prior to me replacing the battery, and heart rate was registering fine - no dropouts at all. Yet today it's as though there was no data collected from the 2 hours spent at the gym!

All 9000+ steps registered normally...
  • My weightlifting from today showed up in Connect, but I'm still missing Thursday's.

It's been working since at least Friday PM (US EDT) but anything that you did prior to that is lost forever.

Well that stinks. Is there an announcement?

What? I haven't lost any activities that i know of! I was just looking at activities from a week ago and they were there.

Ah so this lasted a few days! My wife did say one of hers did not show up last Friday afternoon but my working Friday night was OK. All I had was step data on Wednesday and Thursday last week so i never experienced this issue. It worked fine on 3/10 for me and my wife.

Same issue - dropped or no activity updated and heart will stop

I have had the same problem of no activity recorded. every once in awhile the heart will stop (?). Despite numerous 'syncing' my unit does not update. I then tried 'pairing' the unit again, that has worked for me but does not solve the issue of the 'syncing' issue. Even the 'pairing' is hit and miss (timesout) These issues seem so idiotic. Maybe the technology is not ready for this kind of unit or maybe they keep tweaking to create a better unit w/o correcting these issues on the consumers end.

At about 11am EST, this is what they said about this issue on FaceBook.....

"Sorry about the troubles with the activities not showing up. We're looking into what is causing this and working on a resolution. If any of you are not using a vívofit paired with a heart rate monitor, we'd ask that you please contact us directly for troubleshooting.

    Thank you for your patience!
    ^DK"

Unfortunately, I cannot find anywhere about WHEN the issue will be fixed.....

    Thank you

Yep, no activities since Jan 29th in GC (amongst other sync / integration issues since day 1 in Dec 2014).
Emailed support with no response, more below.

    https://forums.garmin.com/showthread.php?180370-Problems-with-syncing-Garmin-Connect-amp-MapMyRun

    Last post as below...

"Well I haven't used my Vívofit and GC for much more than as a
Watch to easily tell the time. I have uninstalled GC, MapmyRun and MyFitnessPal and reconnected them all.

My last MMR workout was Feb 26 (when I gave up using apps altogether), my last MFP cardio exercise entry was also Feb 26 and my last GC activity recorded was Jan 29.

This all just "stopped working" without any changes from me. My wife doesn't even wear her Vívofit anymore because she never got a response from Garmin (neither have I) and she has never ever gotten a successful sync between her VF and GC on her Samsung Galaxy S4.

I am severely pissed off! I don't care where the root cause of the fault is, work together and sort it out!"

I am getting some success now with MFP at least syncing with MMR and then telling GC about calories burned, but ACTIVITIES ARE STILL NOT SYNCING IN GARMIN CONNECT

Same issue for me with vivo smart. In the past some of these issues have been corrected by connecting to Garmin Express and connect via the computer but its not recognizing the device asked me to start a new profile but doesn't let me complete it.when attempting to sync to mobile app it begins and then I get upload failure error

Has there been any resolution to this issue of activities with HR data not syncing? I just got my Vivofit 2 last night and took it out on a ride today. I turned the timer on and checked my HR periodically. Around about an hour, the device just stopped measuring my HR for no apparent reason... when I returned from my ride I turned the timer off. I wasn't shown any kind of summary of my efforts, so I thought everything was good. The Vivofit 2 synced to my Nexus 4 and registered the "steps" but did not sync my activity or HR during the timer period. THIS IS THE ONLY REASON I BOUGHT THE WATCH AND IT CAN'T EVEN DO IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME I USE IT?! not impressed. not impressed at all. I'll give it one more chance but if it's not working by the end of the week I am returning it and buying a FitBit HR.
