Connect does not update yesterdays data

I use Forerunner 15 (2.40), Garmin Express 3.2.29.0 (recently updated), and Garmin Connect (Firefox) on Windows 7.

Since Saturday (I think) when Forerunner updated its software via express, it does not report yesterdays results
with sync to connect.
The info on Forerunner is still there though. Have not had this problem before.

Whats going on? Bug in the software? Some mistake in my setup somewhere? Any workarounds?

I have just synced for the night to find that my sleep data is correct for the first time since 31st Jan when the little red alarm clock started showing telling me it looked like I'd changed time zones. Sleep data graph hasn't shown anything before midnight every day from 1st Feb. Tonight it has shown last nights data correctly! Yay! I'm hoping this will mean the problem is being sorted out. Will do a few more steps tonight and sync again in the morning to see if the step data is working properly again :)

Deleted FIT and MONITOR files and did the soft reset - so far it looks like it worked because it updated the number of steps from the earlier syncing (apparently stepping outside to pick up the GPS gave me about 50 extra steps ;) ). Here's hoping this really does work - but if not I'll ditch this FR 15 and get both a VivoFit and FR 220.

Still not updating steps so will do the reset as above. So disappointed with Garmin :(

Same problem as well. If I don't sync that night all data from the previous day does not sync but is still on the device. Also
even though I have set the sleep for 9:00pm to 6:00am data only syncs from midnight to 6:00am.

I deleted the files and did the soft reset yesterday and it synced and updated extra steps from last night when I synced this morning so thank you for the step by step explanation. Really wish I didn't have to do it though and hope that I wont have to do it again!!

If you may, kindly let us know here about your experience a week or two from the time you did this process. I'm curious if this solved the issue for good, or it's just another short-term solution aside from what Garmin is offering which is to sync daily before the stroke of midnight.

Will do! Still working today. Had no response from Garmin yet though. Bad, bad customer service!
  • Mine's been back working correctly for well over a week. As seemed to break for many on Feb 1, the next real test may be March 1.

Has their been any update on this? My step syncing for any day prior to the current date I try hasn't worked since Jan 31. However, the runs sync perfectly fine.

I am above frustrated.. I can't figure this out, and now the garmin won't sync to the laptop at all.
