Edit Multisport activities

Hi,

I tried the search function but could not find anything to resolve my problem..

I have done a triathlon on the weekend and uploaded it to Garmin Connect. I really like that it now shows u as a single event and not as 5 individual activities as before (swim, bike, run and 2 transitions).

My problem is however that I cannot edit the workout. Like so many times I forgot to press lap after the triathlon and now my total time is way too long. I tried to use the edit function and just change the time (how I can do it with normal activities) but my changes are not being saved.

I am not sure if that's a bug, was done by intention or I simply make a mistake but does anyone have a solution on this?

Any help is really welcome!

Thanks

    Hello Miguel,

Sometimes it helps to ZIP the file down then try and attach it.

Dropbox accounts are free and are very easy to use compared to trying to attach files to this forum.

Thanks Don for your willingness to help. I was able to attach the .zip file here at work. :)

    Hello Miguel,

For some unknown reason your 910 recorded corrupt elevations at 22000+/- feet.

I know things are bigger and taller in Texas but that is stretching it a bit too far....:D....so I had the Tool adjust the elevations then pull out just the cycle session.

So....here ya go. Fixed with the Fit File Repair Tool.

LOL! 22,000+/- feet?! I should have taken oxygen on that ride! Thanks for your help, Don. It imported perfectly. Much appreciated!

    Hi

I wonder if you could help. Just Changed from the 620 to the Fenix 3 and having set up the watch for Duathlon I totally forgot to press the lap timer at transition to record each activity (dumbass I know) is it possible for someone to edit the FIT file for me so that it shows correctly in connect ?

    Many Thanks

    Hello Nic,

    Certainly.

Attach the FIT file to another post here and someone will make a MultiSport out of it.

Thanks for the quick reply Don.

    FIT file attached. https://www.dropbox.com/s/hnegoxkp5pcmtd7/54QH5308.fit?dl=0

    12.08 End of Run 1
    14:14 to 40:33 Bike
    42:12 to end Run 2

Transition times are on the high side as I had to wait for the roller door to open on the garage to get the bike !!

    Thanks for helping

Thank you very much Don. I'm surprised at how quickly you have done this for me.

How long does the licence last for on the Fit File Repair tool programme, is it lifetime ? or can you buy one for 30 days use ?

    Many Thanks

    Hello Nic,

I am just a satisfied paying customer but I also help the developer by sending him problems with his software I encounter while fixing various files.

When you buy the licence its good forever and includes 2 years of free updates.

After the 2 years the program continues to work just fine.

I do not know if there is a fully functioning short term option.
  • Don,

I too have a multisport issue that I wonder if you can fix. I tried 'Race Activity' from an uploaded course on my Fenix 3 the other day. At mile 4 I stop in the park to do a quick workout and when the watch didn't auto-pause quick enough, I hit stop instead and then "Finish Later". I finished my workout shortly after that and when I went to continue my run, I hit the Start/Stop button which brought me to the activity screen. I selected Run and then hit start. I proceeded to run another .5 miles home from the park and when I got home, noticed that I had accidentally created a multisport activity by starting a new Run instead of going back to Finish the previous leg of my run. I would like to have the whole activity as one RUN instead of multisport with the average PACE to reflect the whole activity. I've included a link to (which I think is) the correct file. It should be May 4, 2015 activity. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I would attempt to fix this myself but I have a Mac and I don't believe they make the program for Mac.

    Thank you,

    Matt
