Edit Multisport activities

Hi,

I tried the search function but could not find anything to resolve my problem..

I have done a triathlon on the weekend and uploaded it to Garmin Connect. I really like that it now shows u as a single event and not as 5 individual activities as before (swim, bike, run and 2 transitions).

My problem is however that I cannot edit the workout. Like so many times I forgot to press lap after the triathlon and now my total time is way too long. I tried to use the edit function and just change the time (how I can do it with normal activities) but my changes are not being saved.

I am not sure if that's a bug, was done by intention or I simply make a mistake but does anyone have a solution on this?

Any help is really welcome!

Thanks
  • Hijacking this threat: I usually either press the lap button to late or to early when entering/leaving transition. Is FFRT able to shift the breaks between a triathlon multisport activity? And how would a possible workstream look like? can I select, e.g. a point on a map and everything before that point will be allocated to e.g. T1 and everything after it belongs to the bike part?

    hi DerDembo,

It's all done thru manipulation of the data records and moving them between the swim/t1/cycle/t2/run sessions as required.

And no it can't be done by picking a point on a map.

    cheers

    Hello DerDembo,
Mike is correct in that you cannot use a map but the entering/leaving transitions can definitely be changed using the time ( if you have it) of entering/leaving or by inspecting the speed changes. Attach a copy of your FIT file along with any info you can add and someone will give it a go.
  • Time would be fine to adjust things. I guess I'll have to play around with the demo version a bit - I am on a Mac, hence all the asking, firing up Bootcamp is always a little bit annoying.

Hi, I have a multisport file that has uploaded as a single file. Would it be possible to split it for me, my race times are below. Cheers :)

    Hey guys!

I just found out that the last year edition from the triathlon I did yesterday is not in my garmin, something must have happened. So I was thinking, could it be possible for you to change the fit file for yesterdays track to be for last year? It is only needed a date change and the times changes? That would be awesome as I was trying to do it by myself and I'm not really able to deal with the fit tool in my laptop.

The activity was 8th April 2017 and these are the timings:
    Swim: 12.45
    T1: 1.38
    Bike: 30.40
    T2: 1.14
    Run: 16.58

    Thank you so much!

    hi Luisenramos,

I have been able to change the date of the file as requested. I am however, unable to adjust the file to the times requested as I haven't been able to work out a reliable to do it.

    Give this file a try.

    cheers

    Hey

did my first triathlon today and during the bike ride managed to enter into Transition 2 with my Garmin, which in the end mixed all data up. I think it should be an easy fix in order to change the activities' positions in the file? Could anyone help?

The officially registered times were as follows:
    Swim - 00:19:07
    Transition 1 - 00:01:43
    Bike - 00:35:44
    Transition 2 - 00:00:41
    Run - 00:22:51

    Thanks a lot!
