Edit Multisport activities

Hi,

I tried the search function but could not find anything to resolve my problem..

I have done a triathlon on the weekend and uploaded it to Garmin Connect. I really like that it now shows u as a single event and not as 5 individual activities as before (swim, bike, run and 2 transitions).

My problem is however that I cannot edit the workout. Like so many times I forgot to press lap after the triathlon and now my total time is way too long. I tried to use the edit function and just change the time (how I can do it with normal activities) but my changes are not being saved.

I am not sure if that's a bug, was done by intention or I simply make a mistake but does anyone have a solution on this?

Any help is really welcome!

Thanks
  • accidental lap press on triathlon

Swim, Transition1 are fine. But shortly into the bike I hit the lap button by accident. Looking for help correcting the bike/run sessions.
The short bike session needs to be merged with the bike data that's included in the Run session. T2 is just more biking.

As for actual events, it looks like I entered T2 at about 1:00:02 into the recorded Run session and exited T2 to do the actual run at 1:01:40. My chips times are below.

Any help would be much appreciated!!!

    Hello Vemec,

The last run session is only half as long as the first run session so there might be missing data or not.

    Hey datezz,

I also have a request/challenge for you. Namely, I have completed my first Ironman on Sunday, but - idiot as I was prior to start - I set my Forrerunner 920 XT to Open Water Swim instead of Triathlon, so it recorded the entire race as five laps of open water swimming. Is there any chance to convert the .fit file into Multisport so it would show all three disciplines (and two transitions) separately, along with relevant data (e.g. pedal power, run tempo etc.)?

Since I cannot upload the file here, I am sending you a link to the file on Dropbox: https://www.dropbox.com/s/sityvakk3x7dgzo/1831816680.fit?dl=0

Many thanks in advance for your help,
    Nenad

    Hello Nenad,
When in Swim mode the device does not record elevations for the entire file. The cadence continues to be recorded as arm strokes for the entire file so after the swim I had to delete all cadence. There are no cycling or running metrics. The heart rates were a constant 113bpm so I had to delete them all. Lastly all distances appear to be 6% short when compared to the recorded GPS distances but I did not change distances.

    Thanks a million!
  • Hi,
I also have a problem with a triathlon. I accidentally pressed the lap button on my bike run. I pressed another 2 times to save the activity and started a new one. On the new one, i lap after 1 second the swim and first transition and continued from biking. Right now, i have 2 multisport activities. One that contains my swim run, transition 1 and 1 km from bike, second transition and the run, each have 1 second length. The second activity contains 1 sec swim, 1 sec first transition, remaining of 38 km of biking, second transition and my run. Can you please help me have 1 multi sport activity that contains all the transitions and runs correctly, Swim, T1 from first zip, combining the bike run from first zip with the one from second zip, T2 and run from the second zip. If can anybody can help i would be so happy. If you need more information, let me know.

    Thanks.
  • Hey Datezz,

Thanks, that's exactly what i wanted. But you forgot to add my swim run. The multisport activity started with T1. Can you please add also the swim run? It's in the first zip.

    Thank you very much.
