Is there a problem with the Garmin Connect backend?

I just got back from a run and synced my Forerunner 620 via WiFi. The transfer completed, but when I logged into Garmin Connect, the activity wasn't there. I synced again with the USB cradle, and the activity still did not appear in Connect. I just now tried uploading the FIT file manually, and Connect is hanging on Uploading...

I also tried transferring my personal records to the 620, on which I did a master reset last week after the watch rebooted at the end of a workout. Connect opened Garmin Express to do the transfer but it hung while preparing the file, and the file modification date did not change on the watch filesystem, so it had not yet reached the point of writing data to the watch.

Makes me wonder whether part of the site's back end has crashed. Has anyone else noticed this problem?

My 210 will go through the upload process, but then it keeps circling on Upload. I'm getting mad.
  • Yeah, this is an odd thing. I get the same error when uploading through garmin express. Then when trying to add the workouts manually I get, "You have entered a value that is not accepted by the database. Please enter a new value." And just like a few other folks, my workouts are on strava. Weird!!

    Same issue with my 210.

Has garmin heard of regression testing? This is typical of garmin. And yes, oddly enough the strava background auto upload works. So clearly something is getting uploaded. Fix this.

It really is laughable how such a large successful company can turn into a joke so quickly. Examples: the "modern" interface (oh boy), Garmin Express (hate it), Connect breaks and no one even bothers to share so much as a status update from inside Garmin (really?). Unbelievable.

Same problem here with my 620. Never had issues but my two runs from today are presenting an 'error syncing with GC' when uploading from windows. Uploading from bluetooth and WIFI appears to complete ok but nothing shows up on GC site. The two FIT files are there along with another 10 other activities. I am suspicious that this is some problem on the server side that gets our uploads.
Garmin, if you are having an incident on your infrastructure, the least we expect is that you let your client know. We would patiently wait for the circumvention instead of burn our brains trying to make it work on client side.
    Please say something !

Same here, Forerunner 610. I really like Garmin's devices, but their software team needs to be replaced. The last week or two have been terrible. I have 4 garmin fitness devices between my wife and I, but I'll never own another. Hell, I'd be happy if they'd update the firmware somehow so that I could sync to my computer with the charging cable. The wireless Ant+ system is junk. It's pretty bad when I spend more time trying to get my data uploaded than I do training...

I am having the same problem using my edge 510 with my nexus 5 on the connect app. I can manually upload, but the activities won't show up on the connect website or app.
