Reporting a segment cheater

What is the process for reporting a user who is obviously cheating on a cycling segment? For example, check the leader board for this uphill segment and look at the leader's speed :

58 km run in 2:05 - he should be sponsored by Nike!
  • Simple. Vote with your feet and use Strava which has a proper activity flagging system.
  • One question:
Does an activity have to be made public to get into the segment leaderboard?

I ask because I can see my own time from a non-public activity on the leaderboard of two segments, but I don't know if others can also see them.

If non-public activities are finding their way to the leaderboard, you can't accuse people of cheating, just because they use their watch for their own logging purpose, perhaps even without knowing that they are on a segment leaderboard.
  • Allan,

yes, an activity only shows up in the segments leader board when you set this particular activity to public.

When you pass a segment and your activity is set to private it will show where you would be placed in the leader board if you would set this activity to public.

It will also show you in the to left your best time in the segment. But this is only visible to you.

    Best regards
    Christian
