Log-in "loops" on Connect.Garmin.com (log-in issues)

Yesterday afternoon (6/18/2014) I couldn't access connect.garmin.com, because of I couldn't get pass the log-in page. This issue continues today.

When I enter my username and password, the page loops page to the login screen. If I put in an incorrect password it will say incorrect password. Even though the log-in screen is displayed, I noticed the "sign-out" link in the top right, which I assume it means I've logged in at some level. If I hit "Dashboard" I get this error: "Error - Sorry, but it appears that an error occurred." I've get this issue on three different computers and I've cleared-out my browser cache.

I've reset my password, but that doesn't work either -- since I've reset my password, I can't use the garmin connect app on my android phone. I get an error, "A problem occurred while attempting to sign into Garmin Connect [OK]"

I've submitted a request to Garmin Support, but they say it will take 3 business days to respond.

Any Ideas?

I have the same issue with looping login, which occurred after I choose to use move to the modern interface. If I log into Connect it presents the login again but I noticed the sign out button becomes available when it asks for the user name password again. I found that by going to the help forum it would not think I was logged in and present the login option at the top of the screen again, so I used the login option on the help forum. After doing this I could use my original short cut to main Garmin Connect and as if by magic the new modern site with all my activities works. [I think the login screen on the main site has an issue - the help forum login is the solution for me] - Hope this helps

Same problem of the blue "connect" page with the dead links, ongoing since last week.

Well, I was suddenly able to get in to the link that has activities. However, I couldn't edit the names of my routes nor see the maps of these routes. Partial progress.

I can log on to my Garmin account, but I cannot log onto Garmin Connect. I'm getting stuck in the same loop as everybody else. I called tech support on Monday and was told that they are aware of the problem, and are working on it.
  • All,

We have made the Garmin Connect team aware of this issue. We hope to determine what the problem is and get things fixed as soon as possible.

Here is the message I got back from theCustomer Care team:

"I was able to duplicate this issue. It looks like a issue on our end. I created a case for this to be fixed. The case has been submitted to our Garmin Connect Engineering team. Please give us a couple weeks for a status update on the issue. Our team will look into the problem and get it resolved as soon as we can. "

    2 weeks?

That's exactly what happened to me too starting around the same time as everyone else, over a week ago. Unfortunately your workaround doesn't seem to work for me - what was the URL of your original shortcut into Garmin Connect?

I've spoken to Garmin support several times on the phone. Can't believe this hasn't been fixed!

    2 weeks?! Incredible...
  • Well they said a status update in a couple of weeks ... but that they'd get it resolved as soon as possible. It's clearly not universal as I can log onto both Modern and Classic ...
