Garmin Connect / Upload not working

It appears that Garmin wanted to do an update to the manner in which the "Upload" function was accessed. Unfortunately, at least in my experience, they seemed to have screwed up what was a perfectly functioning feature before this supposed update. All I get now is a redirect to a page that informs me that I need to update my software and re-sync. Fine. I did that and, surprise; when I go back to the home page and go to "Upload", I once again get redirected to that same page. I'm curious as to whether this is something only I'm experiencing or a known issue. If the latter, does anyone have a solution to get past this nuisance?

Me too cant use anything online cant upload data cant connect cant sync all I can do now is use my device 310xt while running. If I try to upload the data just wipes and I get a message saying. cant sync try again.. What good is that? With the ANT software it worked.... What are they thinking of????

Any updates on this, I just updated to Garmin Express, lost my Ant Agent like others and now I can't update, brilliant? Guess I'm going back to Ant Agent, will drop Garmin Connect and go to SportTracks, it works well and doesn't require Garmin support. If your upgrades aren't ready to be rolled out they should stay on the test bench. Frustrated.

Garmin are, in my experience, a nightmare.
My new Forerunner broke down and was fixed. It broke down again and was replaced.
It didn't work recently in Bethlehem (a special race to me) when all others around me did (was fully charged etc).
Now this. I just want to know my splits, nothing more. Now, despite having supposedly downloaded plug-in, I have nothing.
Did everything they said but nothing. Previously had overcome this via Mozilla instead of Google but even that doesn't work now.
The worst thing, to me, about Garmin is their arrogance.
Some geek decides to come with an innovation that they think is wonderful but just mess things up.
The time wasted on this is farcical, just going around in circles.
A solution eventually comes until the next issue.
So, in summary, I will never, ever, ever buy anything by Garmin again and just look at splits as I run I guess until I figure out which make to get next. By the way did I mention that I don't like Garmin ?

same as every one else! 910 isn'T CHEAP; HOW LONG DO WE HAVE TO WAIT:mad:
  • Many Thanks
On Mac OSX 10.9, Edge 800 and Garmin Express 10.6.2, I finally got sync to work (though I don't know for how long).
    % ps -ef
    501 469 278 0 8:34PM ?? 0:00.41 /Applications/Garmin Express.app/Contents/Library/LoginItems/Garmin Express Service.app/Contents/MacOS/Garmin Express Service -fromClient true
    % sudo kill -9 469

Voila, Express recognized the Edge, and even synced.
I don't know if this is a permanent fix.
What a pain in the [censored]

Uploading from device works with Express
Downloading to device (eg workouts and plans) doesnt work this day.

    Tried and failed.
I think it should be done seamlessly with new Express but no. Tried to use the function send to device on OLD and New garmin connect but cant see Watch when sent to device (though it shows on device page that it is connected).
My guess is that the calendar is not paired with the "To be seamlessly linked function"
the watch is paired - data on calendar is not.

If they have IT to fix this it should be done in 1-5 working days depending on severity of issue and lack of existing code.

I do love Garmin devices but I'd expect -given from what I just read- better responsiveness or even simple acknowledgment from Garmin.

Come on this forum and say something like:
"Hi all - we are sorry about the fact that a great number of our users are experiencing major difficulties with our new Garmin Express.
We have reviewed all these issues and are doing our best to work on them.

We understand your frustration but please bear with us a little longer while we are fixing this."

    neh?

same problem here. I see these posts are older, any work around or are you guys auto downloading (or uploading)? I liked the auto transfer and not doing that now. I did download express but thought it did download data after that update but now not.
