Garmin Connect / Upload not working

It appears that Garmin wanted to do an update to the manner in which the "Upload" function was accessed. Unfortunately, at least in my experience, they seemed to have screwed up what was a perfectly functioning feature before this supposed update. All I get now is a redirect to a page that informs me that I need to update my software and re-sync. Fine. I did that and, surprise; when I go back to the home page and go to "Upload", I once again get redirected to that same page. I'm curious as to whether this is something only I'm experiencing or a known issue. If the latter, does anyone have a solution to get past this nuisance?

This is a frequent problem with Garmin. I can successfully upload my workout to Strava (without fail). I can then export my strava workout as a .GPX and then manually upload it into Garmin Connect. This type of issue happens so frequently that I think I'll quit wasting my time with Garmin Connect.

Same problem with me - is anyone from Garmin reading this - is anything being done about it - I used to be full of praise for Garmin but this is simply unacceptable - our equipment is rendered useless by ill-tested updates - Garmin please tell us what is happening to put this right.

I have the same experience and I clear out the IE cache and login to the Garmin Connect. There's no way for us to make a simple "upload" or "import" of activities from Garmin Unit. You can upload a file manually but not from any Garmin Edge units. I re-install the latest version of the Garmin Express. Then it recognized my Edge 500 and was able to import the activities.. they called it "Sync" instead of import. There are certain times the Garmin Express software doesnt recognize the Edge 500. Not sure why, but I have to re-plug in the unit a few times until it shows the device.

I have the Garmin ANT+ USB (the small version) and its working fine with the Garmin Express.

Note: I removed the old Garmin Express software first before I re-install the new version. At least that worked for me. Hope this helps.

I agree with the comments here. The "Upload" button and feature appears to have been removed from the new Garmin interface. I am unable to use the new "Modern" interface screen to upload activities from my Forerunner 210. The upload feature should definitely be fixed to make this new and improved interface compatible with all devices.

Same here, no 'upload' button, and when I choose 'synch' it tells me nothing to synchronize, although I had a brand new activity there. Had to go to the old interface to upload, then the activity was visble in the 'modern' view. Strange?!

Same problem. The Garmin Connect website opens but I cannot open anything on it.

I'm on Mac OS 10.9. Have to download my 305 to Garmin Training Center, export the file, manually import into Garmin Connect. It generally works although Garmin Connect hangs, gets errors, runs crazy slow. Quick Edit gives an error. Full edit works but often hangs. I've never got the new site to recognize the 305 directly. I think I've had irritating software and update problems on every Garmin device I've ever owned. Nothing new here - Gar-bage.
  • I have the same problem. I can't upload any data from my Edge using the modern connect webpage. Very disappointing.
  • Just installed Garmin Express, it all appears to work until I try to view the new activities - which don't show up.
