Garmin Connect body weight data now only for 12 months?

.
Trying to get the hang of the Garmin Connect Modern - today noticed that the body weight chart only goes back 12 months

The 'classic' GC allowed you to go back much beyond that - my data went back to 2010

This data has been a great motivator as I have a goal to get back to the weight I had in 2010 - and I'm making good progress (thanks)

The GC modern options for weight data are now '7 days', '4 weeks', '6 months' & '12 months'

Any chance to get 'All days' back?

Otherwise if it is in there somewhere please tell me how to find it!!

Seems it's there, but don't know how to access it apart from directly typing the address.
  • Oh good call -- not sure how I missed that?? (the arrows to view prior data). I'd still love to see it all on one big chart but now I'm admittedly just being picky. :D

The new site will show ALL your weight information, just not on one chart as before. If you click on 12 Months, it will show the previous 12 months. Look at the two arrows next to the TODAY button (they look like this: < >). If you click the < arrow, it will show you 12 months prior to the most recent 12 months. Click it again and it goes back further. I can see all my weight entries back to when I joined Garmin Connect back in 2011!!!
Please give it a try and let me know if you found it!!!

Hey everyone thanks for the support over the past 6 months!

This is the reason I have not switched to 'Modern' yet - have been seeking to achieve the weight I was at 4 years ago and have managed to do it now in December after a peak in January.

But that strays from the point - is 'Modern' still only showing previous 12 months of weight history?

Also to JOEJOHNSON56 - thank you for the info on the app - I will have a look but would prefer to enjoy the ease of GC 'classic' with everything I want in one place (except for some features that I enjoy in Strava - so I am already using two platforms for running and cycling data).

Thanks mickw46 - looks like maspina63's post does solve the problem. I am curious why the arrows were not mentioned earlier or by Garmin support?

Now that this is solved, is there any other good reason to stay with GC 'classic'?

I am not sure if the arrows have always been there but I do know that, for a while, I thought as you did re one year's data only being available. In fact I took a screen shot of my weight data from "classic". Then, at a later date, I noticed the arrows for the first time! How long they had been there, I have no idea.

I certainly can't see any reason to stay with classic although some people seem to find features in it that they say don't exist in modern.

Thanks mickw46. Since I am very happy with Classic and not blown away by 'Modern' I'm not very motivated to switch. If there was something really awesome about Modern then of course I would - but so far no one has really said anything like 'WOW, I love Modern!! Garmin is so fantastic!!"

Anyway I reckon I'll be forced to switch over at some time...

    Any developers listening?

    Hi!

Although workarounds like the JSON file (https://connect.garmin.com/proxy/user-service-1.0/json/healthHistory) & URL https://connect.garmin.com/modern/health exist, why can't there simply be another tab "All [weight] Data"?

I have nothing against moving to a "Modern" UI, except when I lose functionality that I used to have (easily)!

    Thanks,
