Garmin Connect body weight data now only for 12 months?

.
Trying to get the hang of the Garmin Connect Modern - today noticed that the body weight chart only goes back 12 months

The 'classic' GC allowed you to go back much beyond that - my data went back to 2010

This data has been a great motivator as I have a goal to get back to the weight I had in 2010 - and I'm making good progress (thanks)

The GC modern options for weight data are now '7 days', '4 weeks', '6 months' & '12 months'

Any chance to get 'All days' back?

Otherwise if it is in there somewhere please tell me how to find it!!
  • For the time being, you can look at the classic Garmin Connect health page to see your data. If you want to archive it, you can download the data here. If you save that file, I have a script that can convert the data to a csv file that you can open up with Excel (or whatever spreadsheet program you'd like to use).

  • Hi Travis,

Thanks for the advice but isn't that a rather cumbersome process - I am staying with classic as long as I can because all I need to do to see my weight history is select 'All days'. Do you know if 'All days' will be available in GC Modern? Once it is I will switch over, reluctantly though as I still prefer the layout of classic.
  • Hi

I totally agree with TTIMLEN. All users that I know are not happy with this weight "update", and the cumbersome workaround. Why not just capture everything on excel....? The data is on the server and should be accessible for reporting. I too find it a great motivator looking at my peak weight from four years back.

+1 for TTIMLEN. Why does Garmin want to decide how far back I can display my weight data? Please, make an extra tab on that page to allow "user defined" period!

Same here. My weight development over years is of major interest for me.
Please please add 'user defined' tab prior many loose their data when you force us to move to modern at one point...
    AND
enable the tabs in the cockpit view, not only in full page view.

btw: I'm unable to enter any weight measurement with the new design. Can put in the numbers and date, but when I click on the 'save' button nothing is saved. Tried Chrome and Firefox.

I completely agree with what the others have said. Please keep all past weight data.

Hi TTIMLEN, I wrote an iPhone app that may help you. It retrieves all of your weight date from Garmin Connect and displays it. I haven't tested with lots of historical data but I don't impose any limitations on display and present everything I get. The app also let's you upload data (the full set if metrics) back to GC. It's called GarminHealth and is free on the App Store. Hope it helps. Joe
  • +1 for me on this topic as well. It appears the data is being preserved (if viewed through the classic interface) but I'm scared of losing my weight history once we're forced to stay with modern. With all of the great reports and functionality of modern connect, I must say I'm a little surprised this hasn't been addressed yet?
  • Gets my vote as well.

    What were Garmin thinking!!

The new site will show ALL your weight information, just not on one chart as before. If you click on 12 Months, it will show the previous 12 months. Look at the two arrows next to the TODAY button (they look like this: < >). If you click the < arrow, it will show you 12 months prior to the most recent 12 months. Click it again and it goes back further. I can see all my weight entries back to when I joined Garmin Connect back in 2011!!!

Please give it a try and let me know if you found it!!!
