Saving settings problem. Can't set my gender. Doh!

Hi

When I try to save my gender in settings I get this error -
'Could not save your Personal Information, please check your values and try again'

And when I try to save my settings to my device (clicking on the green arrow) I get
'There was an error sending your personal profile to '
No device in the message although it's listed to the left.

I believe the gender is used in some calcs and would like to get heart rate info into my device as well. Any ideas what's going wrong please?

Cheers
Ian

  • I'm using Google Chrome and have no problems changing my gender setting. What browser are you using? Have you tried a different browser (if you have one installed)? Have you tried changing the setting via the classic Garmin Connect settings page?

If none of that works, I think I can help you out.

  • Okay, firstly thanks for resopnding. I've tried classic and modern now (IE 11) - same error message when saving gender. I've just tried Firefox - same result. I'll try Chrome tomorrow hopefully but if you've any other way of getting the info in I'd prefer not to have multple web browsers. Thanks.

  • An update to Express v3.1.9.0 and use of the new Connect GUI (on IE 11) seems to have allowed me to get my resting heart rate in to my Edge. I still got an error trying to save my gender change in Connect though - but can set this on the Edge anyway.
  • Sorry I wasn't able to respond sooner. You can change your gender setting at this page.

  •

Thanks Travis. That's worked for me. My gender is now set on-line.
