Garmin Connect is painfully slow. Any recommendations ?

It takes a good minute to actually come live on the screen. Probably 1 to 2 minutes to pull up any workout.

I am using Apple Safari, but even on Firefox the results are the same.

Does anybody have any idea how to fix the issue ?

Thank you

Simon
  • Clear your cache
    Restart your computer.
    Check your internet connection.
  • It is very slow on mine too - not 1 minute slow, but ~11 seconds or so from hitting enter after typing in the url for the dashboard on a 3.91Mb connection and i7 macbook pro (which is really slow in this day and age - a good 4-5 times as long as Strava takes to load the dashboard!). I think there is an element of poor coding involved - but your issue is even worse. What is your speedtest.net result?

    Daeve1510,
Actually I have a very fast connection. Last speediest.net test was 73 mgb download per second and 24 upload. Strange indeed. Hopefully there will some upgrade soon. THX for the comments.

    Philipshambrook,
Although not a computer expert I did what you suggested already and there were no changes in performance at all. It is not a giant deal, just a little annoying as it takes forever to go anywhere within the application. THX for your suggestions.

  • I'm on verizon fios quantum and my garmin connect is SO very slow. The old version AND the new version. It's not my pc or my internet connection.
  • Beyond slow - like minutes to download a complete page within my account. No other site currently has this problem on my machine - I'm on a Mac using Firefox.
  • Here too. Safari 7.0.3 on an new Macbook Air + fast internet.
