Random elevation spikes (Fenix 2)

Hi,

I have random elevation spikes. Very high, like -6000m or +9000m.
That isn't a device problem as GPX export to RunKeeper or Endomodo shows correct elevation values.
That's started only yesterday.
Here my 2 workouts. Both were in clear areas without obstacles (seaside and mountain run), no buildings, no trees, clear sky.

  • You're definitely not familiar with the problem.

No, I am definetly not as I don't have this problem. Sorry for trying to help.

It isn't watch problem - GPX data is correct.

And stupid me thought, it is in the *.fit files.

    Hello,

I've got the same random elevation spikes. However, I checked and couldn't see them in the *.fit file.

  • I've got reply from Garmin - just a standard copy/paste email "sorry for waiting, reset your garmin, blah blah blah". Looks like they haven't read my email at all.
The problem is deco with Garmin Connect as files aren't corrupted. My last run I've got only 2 "spikes" to -14m. It is still better than huge elevation gains. Probably they have fixed it. Will check later today.

Thanks for trying to help, but it is better to read first what actions were taken. If files aren't corrupted, import to other services like Endomondo works fine then it is obviously Garmin Connect problem (well at least for me).
