Edge 800 won't sync anymore on garmin Connect

So I'm using Mac with Safari but the problem also occurs in Firefox.

Garmin Express keeps telling me "Sync error" but no details.

On Garmin Connect uploading just keeps going and going... no result.

It used to work fine before installing Garmin Express.

Restarting: no difference. Clearing browser cache: no difference.

Help would be grately appreciated.

Was having similar with this just now. I couldn't upload files using Garmin Express (GE), couldn't upload them manually using the Garmin Connect (GC) website or I couldn't download workouts by "Sending to Device" which involves GE. GE had been working fine for 6 months. I've just switched devices as I got a refurbished Edge 800 and I'm not sure if that was the problem.

So I retired/deleted from GC/GE the 2 other devices I was using (original 800 and an 800 I'd borrowed from a friend). It still wasn't working. I had been trying to sync workouts using Firefox (36.0.1) so I said I'd give Safari (6.1.6) a try and it synced. Then tried it on Firefox again and it worked and GE is working again it appears. Not sure what's up but hopefully it won't give me anymore issues.

It's amazing how bad the Garmin customer service is. There must be one guy working the IT desk, and he can only do so much.

Long story short, I now cannot upload a map to my Edge 800. I loaded maps last year, no problem, however I changed to Mac, so there is some glitch with Mac that doesn't allow syncing from GC.

Has anyone with similar problem found a solution?

Haven't used my Edge 800 in nearly a year. Before it worked perfectly, now seeing exact same behaviour as described. Syncing of routes to device and upload of activities just plainly failing.
Switching back to classic, re-mapping device and manual file upload all not working. Tried Mac & safari, Mac & Chrome, Windows8 & firefox... Anyone got any updates yet, these forums don't seem to be monitored...
