Edge 800 won't sync anymore on garmin Connect

So I'm using Mac with Safari but the problem also occurs in Firefox.

Garmin Express keeps telling me "Sync error" but no details.

On Garmin Connect uploading just keeps going and going... no result.

It used to work fine before installing Garmin Express.

Restarting: no difference. Clearing browser cache: no difference.

Help would be grately appreciated.

    Similar Problem - my Edge 305 is crashing the communicator plugin when I try to upload. Uploaded with a Forerunner 110 with no problem, plugged the 305 back in, crash. I uploaded my rides using Training Peaks DA without a problem, so it seems to be a plugin problem and not the device

    I Have the same problems, I hope Garmin will give us a solution. The problems started when garmin express was launched!

    FYI Garmin Express was launched in Feb 2013. There are many many thread about it in

    That said it was only foisted on fitness device users in March 2014.

    having exactly the same problem after being forced to download Garmin Express. Edge 800 works without any issues on Strava and my Edge 500 works on both Garmin Connect and Strava sites. Very frustrating, Garmin, please sort out and speed up your site. it's pretty poor since your 'modern' design came out.

    Same here, sync status doesn't work on the modern Garmin Connect. I use Firefox on a Mac, with Garmin Communicator plugin installed and working. When I try to sync I receive the message:
    "Firefox doesn't know how to open this address, because the protocol (connectagent) isn't associated with any program."
    Also it does not allow me to delete items from the list.

    Modern Garmin Connect doesn't use the Plugin at all. You should be using Express to sync, or you can manually upload.

    Very confusing all the different pieces of software. I guess I have been switching between the two garmin connect versions and tried out what would work for me. By the way the sync does seem to work, at least from device to website. I discovered that although I don't see an 'updated' screen, after disconnecting the Edge 1000, and later connecting again the data is there and the sync-list has updated.

    Do you have Express installed on your Mac? One of the things it does is to auto sync every time a device is plugged in if you've paired that device with Garmin Connect. In the case of the 1000, if you have WiFi enabled on it I think it will automatically upload on its own.
