Cadans graph empty

I have a FR620 and one of the things I really like is the new running dynamics. However, all of a sudden, the cadens graph is empty. Even for older runs of which I'm sure that I have reviewed them. I hope that this is only the graphical representation and that my original data is remains unchanged.
  • Same goes with my Garmin 310XT...
The good news as that all the data is still proper stored in my private cloud at Garmin Connect. This new webinterface seems to have some bugs here....switching the activity back to just "running" is the work-around now. Hope they fix this soon... work in progress I assume...Sometimes I use the local app called "GarminFoodpodCalibration.exe" This is a great tool for deep diving into the logging files that are locally stored on your harddisk before the Garmin ANT agent uploades them to your portal. This nice app learned me that my Garmin 310XT was still proper recording the cadans info into the logfile. And now I know for sure that there is no data loss in Garmin Connect.

Still having the exact same problem with my Forerunner 210. I can see the chart before I edit it, but then it's gone after I save an edit.

    Figured out a "fix".

Just like some of the bike riders noted, if you re-edit your run back to the root your chart will return. So when I upload a run I can see the cadence chart, when edited I normally select "street running" or "treadmill running", plus the other notes and then save. At this point my cadence chart disappears.

    ---- the "fix" ---

Re-edit the run and change my activity back from either "Street Running or "Treadmill Running" to just "Running".

BINGO! My cadence chart is now viewable.

    ------------------

Clearly this is a fault with the web site and needs to be address by the Garmin Connect team. Not sure how long it'll take for them to realize that there is a problem and then how to fix that problem , hopefully it won't turn into an old problem...
  • The Garmin Connect team is still working on this issue however the mentioned workaround is the right way to go for cadence to show back up. You have to stick with one of the parent activity types as opposed to one of the child options which results in cadence disappearing.
  • I am having this same problem, and it is affecting all cadence data, including the years of historical data I have loaded up in GC It is an unacceptable solution to go back in and have to change the category to get it to appear. I use the categories specifically to categorize my rides to keep track of different types of mileage for different types of bikes, ride types, races, etc.

700 + cycling activities since July 2007 makes that a ridiculous fools errand to reclassify. I guess it's time to find another program to keep all this tracked in. Garmin needs to beta test their software better before releasing major updates....but software has always been the issue for Garmin.
