Upload Error
Former Member
The latest Connect Can't upload files manually, get error each time. Tried both .tcx and .gpx with no joy. And the Kinetic inRide file I uploaded this morning is not in my Dashboard?
I have hit this problem too. I was trying to upload gpx files exported from Basecamp (I use Basecamp to delete the non-walking start and end of the track logs from my Oregon). It has been failing for at least 3 weeks now. I do have an ugly work-around: load the gpx file into GPS TrackMaker, save it, and then the upload works. Come on Garmin - did no one think to test that the web site upload processing is compatible with all the various files produced by other Garmin products?
Wahoo Fitness technical support reports that a recent change to the Garmin Connect API has broken all third party apps. From this thread, looks like they broke a bunch of their own internal features as well. Whoops.

Hi,
Sorry you are having this issue, Garmin recently changed a feature in their app and unfortunately accidentally broke all 3rd party upload abilities. We are working with them now to fix the issue.
Thanks,

I have Wahoo Fitness on iPhone 4 and iOS 7.0.6 with ANT+ Key paired to both a Garmin HR and Garmin Speed & Cadence. When I try to upload workouts to Garmin Connect I get: "a server error occurred while uploading workout data".

Created a course on Garmin Connect and tried to send it to my Edge 800. I have followed the instructions for updating everything and have done so successfully but on trying to send the course to my Edge it does not recognise my device. C'mon Garmin, I have a Audax this weekend and need the route on my device. Sort it or confess.
This Garmin Help Function is worthy of scientific study - anything you send it vanishes with no visible effect.A week ago, I asked them about problems uploading data to Garmin Connect from the Wahoo Fitness app on my iThing- zip, nada, nothing. (Wahoo responded to the same question within 30 minutes saying Garmin have stuffed up.) The last comment from Garmin on their Twit-Face page was on 21 Feb, saying they know about the problem, please be patient - isn't this social media stuff about staying in touch with your loyal clients? Anyway - love the new Tom Tom devices.
