Elevation Chart Missing

Former Member

I have a Forerunner 10 and I realize that the unit itself does not track elevation, but I know that GarminConnect will calculate the elevation changes once I've uploaded an activity. It did this perfectly for my first 6 or so activities, but now with my latest runs that I've uplaoded, no elevation map is coming up and there were most certainly hills on the routes that I ran.

What is going on here?

Thanks!

YES! very irritating, especially when you live in a hilly town and want the feedback of elevation! Any timeframe on fix?
  • This is getting beyond the joke. I reported this back in about November 2013. No response from Garmin. Get the impression that they don't give a damn

The elevations charts were very helpful analyzing my training. Feb 22, 2014 is the last time this information shows on the list of Activities and the last time a elevation chart is availailable. This reduces the value I had with my Forerunner 10. Garmin, are you listening??? It needs to be fixed.

My Forerunner 10 sometimes shows elevation and sometimes does not. I think it is a problem with Garmin but i don't think they are bothering to fix it.

They told me to wipe out my data and do a restart. I did that. It didn't fix the problem It's a Garmin problem and they are not dealing with it.

The first time the elevation chart did not show its self was 4/2/14. Then it worked up to 4/8. Since then I have 4 activities that have uploaded with out the elevation gain/loss chart. I have tried deleting and re uploading but it hasn't done anything. Bummed

Same problem. I just got the watch and am still deciding whether to keep it. The elevation chart showed on my first 4 runs (through 4/11) and then when I uploaded runs from the last two days this evening (4/18) I did not get this data. I was really thrilled with it for the first week. Seems this is a frustrating on again off again situation.

Someone just linked me to this,http://https://forums.garmin.com/showthread.php?82303-Important-Information-regarding-Modern-View-Upgrade-and-Feature-Enhancements doesn't explain why its not worked on and off for months but hopefully new updates and site will sort it out.

So two weeks from 04/17/2014 according to that. Hopefully it actually works again. The past few months even when it did work it would skip some miles and report much lower elevations than it had on the same route before.

Good luck with Garmin! All I got is "we're working on it".
