I have a problem with http://connect.garmin.com/explore - it doesn't work. The left side is not displayed

" />">
  • Could it be a plug-in issue ?

Voila, issue found, manually updated Java and now it works !

There are no plugins involved with the display of the Connect website (the site uses the Garmin Communicator Plugin for transferring data directly from your device to Connect, but that has nothing to do with the user interface), and it certainly doesn't require Java (what would be a bad thing securitywise)

The site relies heavily on JavaScript, but that isn't related at all with Java. JavaScript is handled by the browser itself.

Anyway, no problems here with any browser on the Mac, in The Netherlands...
  • no issues in north america for me either a Macbook using Safari or Chrome; or a PC/win7 using Firefox or Chrome. Clear cache maybe? Spoof the particular server you are connecting to so it picks another? of course I'm assuming they use a server farm in your region too. Akamai is what it goes through here.

Ok, all I did was updating Java and allowed Pop-ups, Java script and plug ins on Connect website, after that it worked.
So if is can not be Java, it must be something on the Rights that I allowed
  • I'm living in Belgium. It doesn't work on neither of my home PC's (Vista, Windows 7 and Linux Ubuntu) using Internet Explorer 9 or 11/ Firefox 28 and Google Chrome)
On the Search button, the blue underscore keeps running from left to right and vice versa, but het result field keeps empty.
Resetting to the default settings of the browser doesn't solve anything.

On my work PC however, everything works as before.

I suspect it has something to do with providers. My home provider is Telenet, which isn't the provider at my work...
