Garmin ANT Agent fails to transfer data to internet after downloading

If you connect your ANT agent and data downloads but does not upload, make sure you UNCHECK autoerase on device settings (right click garmin ant agent icon in taskbar) as you can unpair device, pair it again and it will reupload to internet connect dashboard. You can locate the uploads on the computer by going to USER and APPDATA/GARMIN/DEVICE but this apparently works on Windows 7 and you can also use the RUN COMMAND to locate AppData. I had a problem using Windows 8 in locating the download to my computer.

    Can't find my uploaded data

Any tricks to finding the downloaded files on a MAC?

I have searched for an AppData folder per the website instructions and can't find anything that resembles uploaded files.

    Same problem here.

Since the update of the Garmin 910XT to firmware 3.0 the data will not upload to Garmin Connect. ANT AGENT (v 2.2 Dutch) presents an error message (failed to transfer), but it does upload the data correctly to the computer (mac 10.8). This data is accessible in RubiTrack.

    I tried to:
    - delete the history of Garmin 910XT (to reset corrupt data files)
    - restarted ANT AGENT and ANT STICK (unplugging it)
    - deleted 'strange' .FIT files in the folders (activities)

    Any suggestion how to proceed?
    Thanks!
  • i wonder if the problems at Garmin's end in the portal.

I have the exact same problem. I have upgraded by Garmin 910XT to firmware 3.0

Now, my newest activity is not accepted by garminconnect.com.

The ANT agent transfers the .fit file correctly to my computer.

I have even located the .fit file and tried a manual upload on garmin connect and received the same error.
  • You can often use the fit file repair tool to fix corrupt files that refuse to upload. Occasionally you can get someone with a valid license to repair the file for you.

No this solution did not work, other ideas?
  • 1) I wonder if the problem is with the Garmin Communicator plug-in. Have you verified that you are running the latest version?
    2) Is your language profile set to something other than English? If so, try setting it to English and then try uploading again. I seem to remember that this worked for others.

Let us know how things turn out.

    1) I use the latest version of Garmin ANT AGENT (v.2.2.2) and experience the same problem on my other mac computers.
    2) one cannot change the language setting of ANT AGENT, but my Garmin 910XT is set on English.

How can I downgrade the firmware from 3.0 to 2.8 to test everything in 2.8?
  • 1) Are you running the latest version of the Garmin Communicator plug-in on all of your Macs: http://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=3739?

    2) I was trying to describe the Language setting on the Display Preferences tab of your Settings in Garmin Connect. I have read other threads where in certain cases things were not displayed correctly when the web site language preference was something other than English. I sounds like a long shot, but for the minimal effort it takes to change it to English and change it back if unsuccessful, I think that it is worth a try.

I do not know how to downgrade firmware for ANT+-based devices. I wish I could help with that.
