Add me to the list of MFP agitators. Lots of rumors and no action. Same kind of stuff coming from Polar. (I'm hedging my bets by having a Loop and a Vivioit.) This is actually a very simple thing to do. I think maybe both companies are trying to fix their HORRENDOUS software before they connect.
In the case of Garmin Connect Modern it's anybody's guess what calorie expenditure number GC would "decide" to pass over to MFP. I train with a HRM almost daily and often multiple times during a day. GC generally gives me several different and often wildly divergent calorie burn numbers. They have acknowledged this problem but have not fixed it yet.
Add me to the list for MFP. Had been using a Fitbit and loved that about it and miss it now. Also, the Vivofit and other Garmin non-vivofit data does not seem to be aggregated together. Get those aggregated (and use logic to remove duplicates when the Vivofit is left on and when I have my FR 620 on at the same time too) then have the accurate total calorie burn added to MFP. Important though, when I am using my FR 620, data from the Vivofit should be ignored to eliminate duplicate steps and calorie burns--but use the data from our other devices when they are used; they are made for the activities were are doing and provide more accurate info than the Vivofit.

i loved my fitbit flex but the batteries will eventually die in them after a few months... that is why i bought the vivofit. Unfortunately the garmin customer service response time is severely lacking. Their software is also crummy compared to fitbits, but the device is much better than fitbit.
Definitely add me to the list. I use MFP to track everything I eat so I have my normal foods loaded and my usual workouts. I'm trying to lose weight while at the same time rehab from knee surgery and I thought the Vivofit would help. I've only had it a few days but I'm paying attention to the red bar and walk around my building and such. I bought a HRM and plan on using that for my workouts as soon as it comes in. I just think it would be great to import that data into MFP so it's all in one location so I'm tracking the food that I eat (calories in) and my workouts (calories burned) to make sure I'm kinda doing it right. Anyway the Vivofit has a lot of potential and look forward to seeing what they do with it in the future.
I'm also anxiously awaiting MFP integration. I just purchased my vivofit, and am enjoying it so far, but I purchased it from REI who will happily take it back if there's no MFP integration in the offing.
