Unable to send course to device. Please try again later.

Why do I get this message: "Unable to send course to device. Please try again later."? I am using a Garmin Edge800. I am able to transfer trainingprogram from my PC to Garmin unit, and I am also able to transfer activities from the Garmin unit to the PC.

    I have similar problems with the message "No device found that supports Courses" when I try to upload a course to my Oregon 300. The problem exists for IE, Firefox, and Chrome. It started after I updated the Garmin Communicator Plugin to version 4.0.3.0. The plugin mentions my device is detected and communicating properly.

    Same with a 500 after an update of the garmin communicator plugin. Urgent fix needed!

    Had same problem using firefox. Unable to send now try again later so switched to chrome and it said it sent course to watch. Then to get it to upload I had to click the upload button on garmin connect as if i were uploading my run data and it then downloading the course to the watch.

    Also maybe related to the latest update of garmin communicator, myDashboard now constantly claims that "Recommended updates are available" for my FR910xt, even though I have loaded the new 2.60 firmware already (twice, checking if these "updates" are really something new).

    Same issue here, "Unable to send course to device. Please try again later." when I try to send a course to my Garmin 500 in Firefox. Have just tried in Chrome and works ok but not in firefox. Would be so bad if you could download the course as a GPX as you could then upload with something else, but Garmin do not seem to want to allow anyone to do this hence you are stuck with their course uploader!!!

    Chrome works okay for me too ;-) sorry, didnt see that thread - anyway its still not perfect. Have to try 2-3 times to succeed.

    Thanks - Chrome worked for me too. IE8 just did nothing when I clicked 'send to device'. Cheers for the advice :)

    I have the same issue with my Dakota 20, used to be able to generate courses on the website and send them to my GPSr no problem but now it says "no device found that supports courses" however if i go to my activities, select a previous activity and click on "send to device" it will upload, it's very frustrating, any resolution yet?

    The Dakota just doesn't support courses (neither does the Oregon), that's why you get that warning. An activity is not the same thing as a course.
    Maybe earlier on Garmin Connect (or the Communicator Plugin) translated it to a track?
