I have my new Garmin Montana mounted to my offroad motorcycle on a garmin rugged mount. After a few rides, it started to shut off by itself, especially after bumpy roads. Now it wont even go five mins on the bike without shutting off. Even if I take the Montana off the mount and put it into my pocket it will still shut off.
So back at home, with the rechargeable battery installed, if I shake it once towards the tops, it will power off. When I use AAA cells, its does not have this problem (although I have yet to try AAA cells with the unit mounted to the rugged mount on a rough road).
Anyone else have this problem with their Montana on rough roads? They do advertise it for off road vehicles, so I think its quite reasonable to expect it to handle it.
