I think the time is more than ripe for Garmin Connect to be more oriented towards mobile units. We should get an iPhone (and/or Android) app or as a temporary solution, a site optimized for mobile units.
What do the developers say?
I wouldn't write off mobile phones as inaccurate toys. The newer phones have real GPS chipsets and there's plenty of development going on WRT ANT+ device adapters. You can now use an iPhone to record your data, including HR, speed, and cadence from the Garmin sensors. Not much longer before Androids get involved too.
I interpret the original post differently. The request might have been for the GC website to have a mobile version so that users can check their activity logs from their phones rather than from a desktop/laptop. In any case, I agree that using a mobile phone for accurate route tracking is problematic, but to me having the ability to access GC from a mobile device would be a very welcome feature!

That's what I meant. I'm not looking for an app that should replace the watch since I actually don't want my iPhone with me when I run.
PS. Sorry for the late reply, I actually thought I would get a notification if anyone replied. Must have missed something in my setup.
