Cannot upload to Garmin Connect - recent problem

For the last three or four days, I cannot seem to upload to Garmin Connect. I have tried both IE and Firefox. I've cleared all history, caches, etc. I've reset the trusted site information to add *.garmin.com to IE's trusted sites. I've made sure that the plugins are installed by going to the garmin dashboard to make sure that they can communicate with my Edge 705. All to no avail.

All I get is the attached screen shot. I've made no modifications to my system (other than the obligatory windows updates) and have successfully uploaded about 5 days ago. At this point, I'm out of ideas.
  • The ANT Agent only pulls the information of your device and on to your computer. Garmin Communicator then sends it to Garmin Connect.

Are you sure the problem is sending data to Garmin Connect? It could be that you have not/are not, getting the data of you device.

It's worth while having Garmin Training Centre installed as a check. If you can see the activity in Garmin Training Centre then you know it's been taken of the device.

I have my Windoze set so that data is sent to both GTC and GC. GTC opens as soon as the upload is completed so I know it is successful.

Same issue with my Forerunner 405

I recently experienced the same issue with garminConnect. One day I could log in and the next I couldn't. My issue was this:

I would go to the log-in screen, type in my user name and password and would immediately be taken back to the log-in screen. In the upper right hand corner it would show that I was logged in under my user name but when I selected a tab (dashboard, activities, etc.) i would be taken back to the log-in screen.

I called tech support and got the same advise- clear cache, reset original Internet settings, add to trusted sites (although connect.garmin.com is NOT a secure site (not https://), etc. Nothing worked.

The only other advise I received was to use a browser other than IE8. that was the wrong answer.

But I figured it out on my won. I discovered that if i de-selected the enable Protect Mode box (Tools/Internet Options/Security- box near the bottom), the connect.garmin.com site functions properly again.

Worked for me, maybe it will work for you too.
