Windows 7 64 bit and Internet Explorer 8 issues

I am running Windows 7 and using Internet Explorer 8 and for the last few days have been unable to login to Garmin Connect. I entered my username and password but received a "security" error message. I could see that I was logged in but couldn't access my activities or dashboard. I tried all the usual workarounds of adding Garmin Connect to my trusted sites etc. but nothing worked. I installed Moxilla Firefox and was able to access Garmin Connect fine with that, so gathered it was an IE issue.

Even though this is specifically for Windows Vista it works for Windows 7 too.

I have been using both Chrome and Firefox to upload my ride information from my Garmin 500 for well over a year. Yesterday for the first time, I couldn't upload and was received a message to install Garmin Express. I did, but nothing has changed. Garmin Express can't find my Garmin 500, although Strava, Dropbox and Windows 7 all can find it. When I close the browser and login again to Garmin Connect it demands that I down load Garmin Express again.

This is a poor experience inflicted by some change by Garmin. I am switching to Strava. At least it works.

I did the capability suggestion and removed my existing device and then added a new device and IT WORKED!!! two weeks of runs

@MARCOMARTINS81 - I have Windows7 64 bits and Garmin Connect works fine... GC does work on this platform on the 64 bit version of I.E. 11. I.E. 8 is an old version and may no longer be able to handling the scripting in the GC website.

I have a new laptop running windows 7 64 bit. I can not get my forerunner 310xt to upload my activities. I have installed the Garmin software and uninstalled it three times, no luck. I even purchased a new ant, still won't upload. Any suggestions?
