F**kin Garmin, I tried to raise the issue on the support form inside Connect and I got looped several times because the system kept telling me I hadn't selected the right option/product version. These guys are useless. I have the same issue as well. I will go with Strava for activity sharing
Same problem with me, but I have found a solution and it's works fine for me, connect to your GC account from another computer (MAC for me) and try to change the parameter, normally a yellow popup will appear and confirm changes... I don't now why, but it's working now ! Hope this will help
This drives me nuts. Want to share my trainings with my coach but all the data is in statute. Now the only version to share is to delete the "modern" part from the link so that the activity is shown in the old version where theres a "view in metric" button on the upper right corner.
Why do I have to be a brogrammer to use garmin connect?
Need to revive this one.... My links were posting on facebook for example in US measures with no issue until yesterday. Now all of a sudden the facebook link is showing metric and I can't figure out why or how to change it. When you click the link it shows in US just fine but why is the facebook "icon" showing in metric.
I am trying to share my activities with non-Garmin users in statute and here are the issues I am having: - units are showing up in metric - descriptions and other items show in another language (Spanish or German instead of English) alongside the English - There is no option for the viewing user to change ANY of the above
I have everything set to English and the viewing browser/user has all defaults to English in their browser. Firefox.
Is someone working on this and when can we expect it fixed?!!!
Also when I take out the '/modern/' portion of the link for the old dashboard style, changing the units has no effect except languages changing... If someone from garmin support wants screenshots I can provide
This problem isn't fixed yet? I just have a new 920XT, everything set in Metric en when posting my training in FB evruthing is set in Miles. Everyone now asks me why my 920XT isn't set in Metric. This problem is active since years, is really annoying and isn't the best promotion for Garmin. Can't be that hard to fix?! Please fix Garmin!
I have the same problem when sharing to facebook. I then tryed and logged on to my garmin connect account using Google Chrome browser. I then shared my work out again and then it was shown in metric on facebook. So if you have problem try using Google Chrome, it worked for me.

There is a bug in Garmin Connect Mobile for iOS - shared link doesn't contain/get unit parameter from measurement’s settings. If you sign in to Garmin Connect through Safari browser for example, your shared activity will be in units according to your Garmin Connect Profile Settings.
Garmin should fix it as soon as possible.
