Garmin Connect keeps logging me in to other people's accounts

As the topic suggests, every time I login I am logged in to other peoples accounts. And it appears to be random except for the location.

Sometimes it gives me my dashboard but someone else's activities. And other times it gives me my activities but someone else's dashboard. It happens often enough for me to bring up in these forms (read 85% of all logins).

Anyone else experience this?

I'm also experiencing the same problem. I'm in Singapore and on Singnet also.
  • I'm also experiencing this problem (Singnet). You can view the summary but you can't actually go into each individual workout. I found I had to click on the refresh/reload button on the browser in order to view my activities and calendar.

Strange this problem occurs only in Singapore. I'm sure if it happens in the US, Garmin would face an army of lawyers!

But I must say that knowing my logs are public is motivating me to train harder! :-)

    I'm mingchen7...

... but I shouldn't be. I could delete that person's last two runs, but that seems rude.

earlier today, I was somebody else. I sure am glad amazon, my bank, etc., don't do this.
  • Hi, I have also been getting these issues.

When I log in and am viewing the dashboard, the first few activities will be mine. If I click on those, I can see my own activities. However, if I click on "See All" in the dashboard, I get taken to another user's activities.

Have the administrators/tech support found a way to resolve this issue?
  • Mmm what a troubble

    Guys :
Til Garmin fix this bug,you can set your browsers to delet automaticaly ,history, paswords, forms and cookies .
This is not a solution ,but will help you to aviod viewing others accounts .
    Good luck Martin

    Hi Martin,

Have tried connecting to Garmin Connect using different computers (work computer, home desktop, home laptop) but still encounter the same issue. Therefore don't think the cookies and history is the cause of the problem :(
  • Mmm so..

    Terrorisk :

So if people at your work ,doesn´t think that cookies and history are making troubles, please download housecall from trendmicro site and scan your computer and any others with this bug.
I´ve tested birdseye in my home in 2 cpu´s and when I log off ,it close the session.
    Check this please.
    Best luck Martin

Seems indeed to be a proxy problem as this is down to a region and its provider. The proxy server of the provider is returning you the page in cache, which is stored by previous user of the same URL. (connect.garmin.com/dashboard)

All Garmin needs to do is to change the header or to add a random and unique number to the URL.

I do not hope (for Garmin) that the news picks up on this. Because, reading this topic and as I understand it, the Garmin Connect Solution is showing private and personal data (name, date of birth, etc) of their CUSTOMERS randomly to other users. This would be very bad advertizing for Garmin.

I think you can see from my list on the previous page that this has been an ongoing problem. I cant think of a solution yet to have been offered by Garmin. Only users have popped in to help. I have written to Garmin and they have never responded. It seems they simply don't care for for providing user solutions to existing gripes and problems. Fortunately however, they do care about providing a rather good package, if I can call the Watch + GC that. So they spend it would seem a good deal of time on constantly improving that. I have tried the Nike+ service on iPhone, MapMyRun and one or two others. They just aren't in the same class as GC - not even close.

Where GC could really do with some quick help that would make BIG differences is on the health page. Allowing for manual input and edit of past inputs that might contain error (example, I once entered a weight 10k too much. Now I have been stuck with it since in the weight graph).

I'd also like to see an iPhone/iPad app for GC. Not to replace the watch! Goodness no. The watch is priceless. But simply an interface that's perfect for GC without having to use Safari.

This all said, I have to say, there is no other run/sport/activity tracking solution out there that even comes close to this one. Garmin is head and shoulders above the rest. Not only on accuracy, but also on presentation of all the variables in each activity. Av.HR, Time, Elevation, HR, Maps, Splits, Calories, Goals, Calendar, etc etc etc. It is in a word, awesome.

Stick with it. When they do eventually get it all right, there will be little that can compete.
