I print copies of my activities for my walking log. Just recently, the print has started to include the menu sidebars, which it didn't before (see before and after examples attached). Is there any way I can exclude these?After.pdfbefore.pdf

indeed! Another way, is clicking the pencil icon (Edit), and then either Save (without any change) or Cancel, and the page then prints correctly too.
Firstly - a big thank you to trux for trying to assist me with this, but I've not been able to solve the problem. I'm inclined to agree with you ciscok1d that it's a result of a software update by Garmin, as it's been working OK for years and the problem only started a few weeks ago. I can only hope that the next release solves it.
In fact, I am no more able to print the pages cleanly without the side menu (and without hacking the HTML code), too, so I guess it just took a few days later till the change on the web propagated to my end. I recommend reaching out to the Product Support through their website at https://support.garmin.com, and reporting it to them, since it is uncertain it will be noticed here, on the user forum.
Yeah, I used to be a Quality Engineer and it's the classic sort of bug that would not get picked up by regression testing, the print function works and that would likely be enough to pass their test but it is really unlikely that they would catch that the full print of the activity has been compromised. It's the sort of thing they will only get from user feedback and I guess their are probably not many like us that use the print option. I was glad to see your post to at least confirm it was not just a me problem.
I still have the same problem. I tried the help chat line yesterday. Their suggestion was to click on the Share icon but this didn't lead me to anywhere useful.
You are right. It was working for me yesterday. I printed a couple of workouts without an issue, but today the same issue occurs. I contacted the support and they told me to contact the local distributor. Clearly the dont want to deal with it in August.
After doing some research, the PDF view displaying the side menus has been visible for some users as late as last year when looking over other users printing their Connect page for other reasons. It's very inconsistent in whether it renders the full menu or not from one user to the next, and even among the same users at times. Our position on this is that it's not so much a broken function as a different view, because nothing is actually broken when the menu is visible.
With that said, I completely understand the desire for the view without the menu and personally like it that way myself if I were to print my activities. The best way for our developers to see that there are people wanting to use Garmin Connect this way is to leave them feedback at the following link so they can review suggestions about providing a universal print-friendly view.

Thank you all for your engagement on this thread.
This neither explains the reason it has suddenly become a problem, nor does it solve it
I agree, it worked fine for me almost every day for a long time up until 21 July and the print option always printed the complete activity over a number of pages using Brave as my browser but from 22 July it only prints what is visible on the web page and now never prints the whole multi page activity regardless of browser. Exactly as illustrated by the before and after on your original post, as my activities are runs they had a bit more information across at least 3 pages, so something must have changed between 21 and 22 July. For me I was using the print to pdf to share with Claude, I now just extract the activity and manually tell Claude the Load and Stamina from the activity which it does not get from the extract but got from the print.
I found a way to print that its working for me. Open the activity, go to the gear and click to trim it. Dont do any changes and click cancel. Automatically it will return you to the activity. Now try to print it. It shows all the pages to me.
