Missing HR pro on swim activities

On running activities you can find on Garmin connect web or android an icon for hr pro. On open swim the icon for hr pro Is missing. could You fix It? Thanks I'm using 255 28.05 and hr-pro 8.80

The last fit 3/8/2026 was without hr-pro, since I left home to change batteries. For my swim I select open water outside the Sea. Wait that hr Is detected, then wait for GPS and finally going into Sea. Swim 70 meter from shore. Wait for GPS green, press start and start swimming. After 1 or 2km Press stop, go outside Sea. Press done and wait for download and save. Thanks for your help

Yes I tried run and open swim. In half an hour I Will upload zip. The run and swim show both HR pro icon. tomorrow I Will swim in Sea for real . Maybe was an issue with low powered batteries.

If you are sure the HRM was really connected before you started the activity, then try asking on the FR255 forum, whether other owners have the same problem.

Yes I selected open swim outside the wait HR connected, GPS ready. Going in the Sea, wait for green then started. At the end, stop. Going outside, save. Searching hr, download, saved.... Everything with non error. I'll post fit file....

FabioSaitta To better understand what's happening, could you please provide:

A swim activity where the HRM-Pro is correctly shown as a connected accessory in Garmin Connect.
A swim activity where the HRM-Pro is not shown.
The dates of both activities (or FIT files for both if you're comfortable sharing them).

Comparing a known working swim activity to an affected one may help us narrow down what's different between them and better understand what's happening.

As an additional test, could you please temporarily disable wrist heart rate on the watch (hold UP and select Health & Wellness > Wrist Heart Rate > Status) and then:

Record a short dry-land Open Water Swim activity with the HRM-Pro connected.
Record a short in-water Open Water Swim activity with wrist heart rate still disabled.

After syncing, let us know whether the HRM-Pro is shown for either activity and whether heart rate data is recorded.

Thanks a lot. I'll post in the afternoon. The Activity which worked was a fake swim. I was walking on the Land After choosing open Sea swimming. So the strap was talking with the Watch. On the other side all the latest swim were without the hr-pro icon.
