Sign in probems

When I sign into Garmin Connect, it says in the top right hand corner that I am "signed in as mcgorian", but takes me straight back to the sign in page, and will not let me go anywhere else.

This problems has only started in the last day or two.

Has anyone else had this, and how can I stop it?

It might be a "trusted sites" issue.

Check to see if *.garmin.com is included in your Trusted Sites
(Tools / Internet Options / Security / Trusted Sites).

If so, either delete it from Trusted Sites or else uncheck the box for "Require server verification(https: ) for all sites in this zone". Not all garmin.com servers are secure (https: ) servers.

Garmin is not a trusted site and the box for server verification was (and still is) unchecked. so that is not my issue.

any other things to try???

Is Compatibility View on for this site? (see Tools / Compatibility view in IE8)

That also has solved some issues for some people, so that is worth a try.

Your problem does sound familiar, but at the moment I can't remember if I saw an exact solution posted to tell you about. Sorry.

I've got the compatibility view set for all websites. I think it says "Display all websites...."

I had to do this because I kept getting an error message whenever I went to weather.com. It would "blow up" and then the page wouldn't display at all, something like page not found after I had seen the page under the error message.

And now I am having to re-log into the forums every 2 minutes if I want to post something. It lets me read without logging in. Then I log in and I post and then I am immediately logged out and need to log in again if I want to post another comment.

I've (had) the exact problem, but I've noticed that ticking the "remember me" remedies the situation.

EDIT: OK, didn't see this was for connect. My problem is with forums.

In my case I can't sign in if I tick the remember me box. I have to leave it unticked.

If I tick it then I cannot sign in, even with the correct name and PW.

You might try clearing browser's cache and/or clearing cookies. That sometimes remedies this type of issue.

Try removing anything pertaining to Garmin from your trusted sites list. That did the trick for me.
