When I sign into Garmin Connect, it says in the top right hand corner that I am "signed in as mcgorian", but takes me straight back to the sign in page, and will not let me go anywhere else.

This problems has only started in the last day or two.

Has anyone else had this, and how can I stop it?

    I have read through all of the posts in this section and the same thing is going on with my access. I log in and see that I am logged in but regardless what i click, I end up back at the sign in page. This is frustrating and a pain. Garmin does not seem to be weighing in on this issue. Has anyone gotten resolution?:mad:

    Garmin, fix this now! My wife is the garmin freak and now she wants to use "my" Chrome... all my bookmarks have been replaced by Recipe, Running and HGTV sites.

    Help!

    Running IE8... worked fine until a couple of days ago.

    Two useless answers from Garmin Support in the last two days - does anyone read in this forum at Garmin or are they not interested?

    Fix this issue now..........................

    I was having the same problems until today when I changed the security settings and I was able to sign on. For those who are using Internet Explorer try this: on the top of the browser go to: tools, Internet options, security, and click on Internet icon in the box with the zone types and make sure the enable protected mode box is unchecked. Then go to the other two zones (Local Intranet, and Trusted Sites) and make sure that the enable protected mode box is unchecked. I did this and I was able to access my Garmin Connect data. Good Luck!

    login solved for me

    i have been experiencing the same login problems.
    based on the last post i started thinking i was trying to solve the problem the wrong way.

    here are my settings in "Security":
    i have Protected Mode enabled in all zones except Local Intranet;
    security level is set to Medium High, low, low and High; in 4 zones; in order; left to right;
    in Trusted Sites Zone, i do not have Server Verification Required set;
    i have all the Garmin sites included in the list including http://connect.garmin.com.

    it seems to be working for me now.

    since several of us have started seeing this problem about the same time, i believe it was an automatic update to IE.

    good luck, everyone.

    It looks like it was the security settings.

    Sign in/security issues

    I have just found this thread after having over 3 weeks of dialog with Garmin help desk! I have to say no one from Garmin must read this forum not does it seem help desk staff really know how the product works.
    After 3 plus weeks of frustration it was my husband who realised the only way to make the sign in work was to turn off protected mode in IE8.
    I see this as a huge security issue and a major fault with the system.....after this issue was raised over 4 months ago it seems that there is no fix for it. Not a good situation.

    Fixed

    Changing security settings didn't work, but I found that three garmin sites were listed in my Trusted Sites list in IE (buy.garmin.com, connect* and I think my*). When I removed those it started working.
  • I have my settings so that all garmin cookies are allowed and I am having a similar problem. Just started about a week ago. I can sign in and move around to various pages but only for about 5 minutes before I have to sign in again. Very annoying.

    I tried resetting my security settings but when I go to "Tools/Internet Options/Security/ Internet" there is nothing to check or uncheck. If I click on "Custom Level" I have some options but nothing that says "enable protected mode". Am I looking in the wrong place?

    I am using IE 8 and Windows XP. I can't stand having to sign in all the time.
