Published Calendar not fully syncing with Google Calendar, Outlook, macOS Calendar

Hey everyone

I've been having a frustrating issue with the Publish Calendar feature in Garmin Connect and hoping someone else has run into this or has a fix.

Here's what's going on:

  • I published my Garmin Connect calendar and grabbed the URL to subscribe to it from other calendar apps.
  • When I added it to Google Calendar, only some events showed up - not all of them. Definitely not what I expected.
  • I thought it might be a glitch, so I unpublished and republished the calendar to get a fresh URL - same result.
  • Tried subscribing from Microsoft Calendar as well - exact same problem, only partial events showing.
  • Also tested it on my native macOS Calendar app - again, same incomplete sync.
  • On top of that, when I tried connecting it to my Microsoft 365 account, I just got a generic error saying something like "try again later" - no useful info at all.

So it's not specific to one calendar app, which makes me think the issue is on Garmin's end with the ICS feed itself.

Has anyone else experienced this recently? Is there a known workaround while Garmin sorts this out?

    My calendar share to google stopped working. last synced activity was 27th April. I have tried unpublish and re publish and subscribing to new url in google. nothing works

    Same issue here. On my Garmin Connect via the web, in the calendar section, when I click on the three dots at the top right - publish calendar - I copy the full link - import from URL on my Google Calendar. No workouts appear in my Google Calendar: no past workouts, no those just done, no workouts forward.

    my fix is to share it with outlook calendar and then share the outlook calendar with google. works fine.

    Thank you very much for your attention and your answer, but I know that actually this fix works only using an Office365 account, which I don't have now and I don't want to subscribe at all.
    Any others suggestions?

      Can you upload a video of the process you are using to try and sync the Garmin calendar with your Google calendar? You can upload it via this secure upload link: Garmin Secure File Upload

    Have you also tried downloading the ICS file? Sharing a Garmin Connect Calendar

    Thank you very much for your support, I really appreciate it. Yes, I have already tried to download the ICS file and upload to Google Calendar, but the file is empty and there are no events to import.
