Did they just break the upload of TCX files? Worked this morning but not now.....I see they added Nutrition "helps" to the activitiy display this afternoon.

  • Yup, can confirm. TCX file upload to Garmin Connect is now failing with a 500 Internal Server Error

  • I tried exporting an activity from Garmin connect and uploading it back (the same exact file) – it didn't work either. Most likely a bug in their system

  • Maybe the "500" server errors point to another Cloudflare problem like earlier this year?

  • It looks to me there is a problem on Garmin side. I was able to upload successfully tcx files exported Keiser MSeries app (Keiser M3i stationary bike) for a few months up until March 4 when I got the aforementioned error "An error occurred with your upload. Please try again.". I tried different browsers on my Macbook and iPhone. I tried also changing extensions tcx to xml (used to help uploading tcx files via Web on iPone). However nothing worked. I had a chat with a Garmin support rep on March 4 and we tried a bunch of things including:
    1. Removed earlier successfully imported MSeries activity and import corresponding tcx file
    2. Exporting genuine Garmin activity uploaded directly from my Tactix watch as tcs, removing activity and importing tcx
    Nothing worked - the same error. I uploaded files in question with the error message screenshot to Garmin support however the rep was unable to sort things out and wrote that he will pass all my information to development for investigation. I did not get any response regarding the issue except an automated "support rate" email. I will try getting  in touch with Garmin today to find out if they have any idea about what is going on and when they expect to fix it. Will post results here.

  • I'm in another thread on GE forum and there are at least 2 instance of GE not uploading activities to connect after syncing exactly after the date above 3/3/26. Something has definitely changed GE side for us and I suspect more generally with the import of files on yere side. 

    Garmin of course not saying anything about it as usual...

    Can you guys download from connect to you device? 

  • Thw lack of responsie from Garmin on this problem shows complete disregard for their users. They can't even be bothered to expalin why we are havin this problem. Calling and talking to support is a waste of time. They act like they are not aware of any problems. My family member called yesterday and did not learn anything. A complete waste of time. 

    This problem has been active now since mid-day on 4 March. Not a peep from Garmin in all that time. This forum is pretty much useless if Garmin does not participate! The moderators are not Garmin employees, they are simply other users who are kept in the dark by Garmin as well.

    I'm done with all this. I don't need Garmin to keep healthy and fit. I will be looking into other methods, possibly with some other company that actually listens and works with it's users

  • Garmin Connect Web. Import Data is back! Just minutes ago I managed to import all tcx files exported from Keiser MSeries app. 

  • Confirming it worked for me using a .gpx file! 

  • Confirmed, it works again to import gpx files. I also received an update email from support, and I quote "...this issue has been resolved with the new release of Garmin Connect web..." - so, just as we users all knew from the beginning, it was, in fact, an issue on Garmin's side and with this email they actually acknowledge it. But it's just infuriating that there was no communication or status update from Garmin in a whole week. They really need to do better.
