Did they just break the upload of TCX files? Worked this morning but not now.....I see they added Nutrition "helps" to the activitiy display this afternoon.

It looks to me there is a problem on Garmin side. I was able to upload successfully tcx files exported Keiser MSeries app (Keiser M3i stationary bike) for a few months up until March 4 when I got the aforementioned…
I am also unable to import – in my case .gpx file – anymore. Garmin Connect upload page just refuse to import, always returns error mesage.
I can't upload any gpx files anymore as well since yesterday. I've tried for hours yesterday and today with dozens of different gpx files. I tried to import them to gpx studio, to GOTOES, CalTopo, Strava…
And as usual Garmin did not tell users anything when they make updates.
They are such masters at communication.
This is the kind of nonsense that I've seen over the last 6+ yeas getting more common with their updates. We should not have to spend all this time trying to figure out ways to make things work after they "enhance" the software, firmware, or whatever.
I'm not paying for Connect+ and both GPX and TCX files are uploading for me.
Windows 11 / Chrome.
Nobody's talking about Connect+.
I am only talking about the IMPORT function of uploading files from the Activity section. And yes, they have changed something on their side. What used to work no longer works. I can take a TCX file from yesterday morning that imported to my account and now try to import it to my wife's account and it won't upload.
And you have said, twice now, that it works for you. Good. That doesn't mean much to those of us that are having problems.
Nobody's talking about Connect+.
behind the paywall,
I can see where this could be interpreted as Connect+. That was my first thought, but we stand corrected.
I can see that might be viewed that way, although it was not my intent.
Fortunately when creating new course in Courses section, importing of .gpx file works. This is more important for me than importing .gpx as activity in Activities section. But in both cases my .gpx files came from same source (exported with mapy.com) and contains same type of elements – this confirms that problem with upload to Activities is not a problem of .gpx file itself, but it is Garmin's side problem.
I can't import a gpx activity too. I was trying to edit an issue with gpx and re-upload but it didn't work. What's even stranger is that the original file with the activity won't upload.
Is anyone from Garmin ever here in this forum? It's been two days and it still does not work. I also wrote an email to support, but no response as well. It's so frustrating. It's clearly an issue on Garmin's end.
I think this is the result of the policy 5hat was changeed in Feb-2024.
Garmin updated policy, effective February 19, 2024 and sent out email notifications on March 1, 2024, part of which tightened up the rules for badges and challenges.
1. Manually created activities will not earn badges.
2. The activity recorded needs to be saved and uploaded directly to Garmin Connect and cannot come from a non-approved third-party app or website.
3. For challenges with a defined timeframe, you must both complete and upload the activity within the challenge timeframe. You must also enroll in the challenge during the specified timeframe.
4. The activity cannot be edited after upload to meet the requirements of the badge (e.g. the distance cannot be extended and the activity type cannot be changed).
Note that a TCX file is considered a manually created activity.
I have noticed that various "tools" are limited now. For example "fitconvert" does not preserve the device info when it converts a TCX to Fit.
Even though "fitfiletools" can add or change a device within the FIT file, it now seems that Garmin ignores this on the import to Connect.
My guess this is intentional - as designed - by Garmin.
IMHO what we see happening now is a bit excessive.
I've had the same problem since 03/03/26 & I contacted the help chat which wasn't helpful at all. What I have noticed is when looking at the import activity screen it actually say You can import:
The thing I think they've changed is "Garmin Activity Files" so not supporting Wahoo or any other manufacturers device. I might be wrong but I wouldn't put it past them! Clearly not bothered about their brand image or customers that have multiple brand devices.
Maybe they will see sense & allow us to import again. Manual entry will be a painfully slow & I probably stop using.
