Intensity minutes in app and web shows wrong data

Hello, since some weeks the intensity minutes displayed in app and web are totally off.

The activity i made today just collected 101 total minutes but the total in the section is 191 (impossible as I didn't do anything else).

The funny part is that the graph show the correct value while the day total is off.

Anyone has the same issue?

Thanks

  • ... also, check the IM directly on the watch, and compare it with Connect.

  • just to add some info. this is my HR during today. as you can see i never went in Z3 or Z4 aside the indoor cycling. IM on the watch are the same as connect.

I continue to suspect that the problem is in the math as the graph always shows the correct amount (also in the week count) while the total is higher.

  • Same here, i do a topic on that. (Epix 2 pro , with or without HRM 600). Pb actualy not solved.

  • epix  gen 2 pro - ditto for me, almost double, and I thought it was because of the snow lol

  • Since Dec 2 I’ve seen my vigorous minutes on a wokout almost match my moderate minutes. Thus doubling my total minutes. These are not intense workouts. I’d have 40-50 vigorous minutes a week previously not have 200. Have a couple general posts on the forums.

  • I am seeing the same issue. If I do a 30 minute work out with 10 minutes of moderate and 20 minutes of vigorous in the past it would show a total of 50 minutes. Instead it is showing 90 minutes. It is taking the vigorous time and multiplying by four instead of two for the total minutes.

  • Okay, several of us are experiencing double the intensity minutes, but still no solution... maybe one day we can hope they'll fix their app? Because it's clearly the app that's counting the activity twice every time. While we wait for a possible response from Garmin, all the training stats are messed up... And for information, it's happening even with just my HRM 600, even without using the watch.

It started for all of us on December 1st (we didn't all realize it because sometimes we trained a few days later and not exactly on December 1st). So we must all have something in common. Are you all subscribed to the paid version of Garmin? Maybe we're all from Europe... I don't know, but we clearly have something in common since not everyone has the problem. Personally, my watch never wants to update (it's impossible to install le the last version firmware, which, from what I've seen, causes even more problems). And I've never been able to get the ECG to work on it either, despite the fact that it's supposed to have worked for a year on this watch in my country.

  • Just for information. My workouts are primarily on a stationary rower. 3 plus years of data, basically doing same workouts and stats are consistent and jive with stats collected on rower app, up to the start of Decenber. My intense minutes have tripled in the Garmin app. Have just noticed training load, which I never really look at has dropped significantly.  I have Instinct 2 but when rowing wear a HRM Pro Plus. In the US. Have no issues with downloads or updates, all recent.

  • I also noticed that my training load has completely crashed too. Even though I'm entirely in zone 4, it tells me I'm not getting any training benefit. Furthermore, if I do another workout on the same day, it tells me, "Rest, you've already trained a lot today," which doesn't make much sense... On the other hand, it seems that many of us have a HRM on our Garmin account at the same time. I admit I'm hoping that since the problem started on December 1st, it will start working again in January, for no apparent reason, in the same way it appeared. Because clearly, if we have to wait for a response from Garmin, we're in trouble... (PS : My firmware updated itself for no reason this morning, even though I've been trying unsuccessfully to update it for a week...)
