Can´t import FIT files in Gamin Connect Web

For several years I´ve been uploading FIT files from my Garmin to Garmin Connect Web manually (Import option). My garmin forerunner cannot synchronise (but I don´t mind about that at this point). Problem is from September 10th, Gamin Connect Web won´t import the FIT files. I click load and it does nothing. If this is not resolved I´ll have to buy another branch of watch. Because what´s the point having a Garmin when there´s no way of uploading your data?

In many cases where I've seen this, the user is attempting to import multiple files. Have you tried just one? I'm just wondering if one of the files you're trying to import is jamming the import queue. Although I tried your unzipped fit files and had no issues. This suggests that the issue is unique to your setup, such as network, browser, computer used to import.

I have tried one and got the same issue. @e7andy already checked that the fit files I´m trying to import are all ok

I get that, I confirmed as well. That's why it's pointing to this being unique to your setup. And as e7andy suggests, could be your DNS. I assume this has not happened before or since. If it still matters, you could try eliminating potential issues staring with the easiest, switching DNS providers to Google DNS (8.8.8.8 / 8.8.4.4) or Cloudflare (1.1.1.1).

Also, not sure if you've tried Garmin Express, but it can bypass some of the web-layer quirks and handle syncs directly from the device. That is assuming the .fit files are still present on the device.

That's good advice. A year or so ago I had a similar problem. I still had the device and I put the file in the Newfiles folder, restarted the device, connected it via usb and GE uploaded it.

Why couldn't the web upload it, I don't know but GE did the triick.

Well...not so sure about that, giving that more people has reported the same problem. I tried using Garmin Express, but as I said at the beginning, my forerunner won´t sync with garmin express - that´s another issue which I gave up.

Up until September 9th Garmin Connect Website worked for me. Now it doesn´t. It happened to other users.

I tried using a different PC (Windows 11) connected to the same Wi-Fi, and unexpectedly, the file was imported — I don’t really know why that happened.
