Problems uploading .fit file using Firefox or Safari

Getting error message trying to upload a .fit file that was produced by Garmin ?? Never had that problem till today

I can confirm that it depends on the browser. I tried on my MacBook, Chrome works fine, Firefox and Safari give an error message.

To all:
Try uploading it with Microsoft Edge, this works for me now.
I'm using Firefox and this stopped working for me since this week.

Seems to be something with Garmin and Firefox !!! Just used Edge and they went up

You can try to repair the file using 3rd-party tools, such as FIT File Viewer or FIT File Tools. Both of these run in the browser and require no additional software. If you're still unable to import the activity into Garmin Connect, attach the file to this thread. We can take a look to see if it is repairable.

Zip the file, then in a reply post Insert >> Image/video/file >> click Upload >> browse for file >> OK.
Or upload the fit file to a reputable file sharing service, such as OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, make the file public, then paste a link to the file in your post.

Same issue here, I tried with a new file from today and threw an error. I tried a working fit file from last week that I already uploaded, same error.

Somehing is wrong on Garmins end.

What is the error message? If you uploaded a file that was already uploaded, you'll get the message "This file has already been uploaded."

An error occurred with your upload. Please try again.
File uploads to strava no problem especially since the file was downloaded from Garmin connect
I'm guessing it is on Garmin SERVER SIDE

Mine is in Dutch but it reads: An error occured while uploading. Try again.

It does not even check the file, its instant. With any correct file type you try to upload.

Can you attach the file from your Garmin Device here so we can see what is happening and possibly repair it.

Several days ago I was able to upload .fit files I download from mywhoosh. Today I was not able to do it anymore.

Not only was I unable to upload new .fit file I donwload today- I was not even able to upload files I previously uploaded , which makes me think that its ystemwide error.

Did something change lately ?

Same here ! Since yesterday.

An error occurred with your upload. Please try again.

Since May 25th automatic upload doesn't work anymore when connecting. Since then i had to upload the files manually.

Since yesterday not even manually upload works anymore.

This site and this prog is so '95. Seriously. What a joke!

It looks like something changed lately. On two occasions, people contacted me on www.fitfileviewer.com with a .FIT file that they could not upload to Garmin Connect. But in both cases, the .FIT files were good and I could upload them to Garmin Connect on my account.

Could there be any reason why files can be uploaded to one account, but not to another account?
