How do I see the average (watts, speed, HR, etc) of a selection?

How to see the average of the selection? The zoom window still shows the average values for the entire ride.

  • Strava's clearly the best thought out platform but you don't get much with the free version. Live Garmin segments work reasonable well though.

Runalyze, well it's quirky too, you can select but only for each chart separately, i.e. you can't select a climb on the elevation chart and get the average data for the same selection. Unless there's a setting I'm missing.

  • Yeah I agree runalyze doesn't have the best UX, although it is more powerful than Connect in some ways. It also has a weird limitation that you need to have a power chart if you want to see certain other metrics when you select a chart region, iirc.

You can always use the laps feature in runalyze to set your own (temporary) custom laps and look at the averages there, although I realize that's not very user-friendly if your goal was just to graphically select a region in the first place.
