menu disappears

Hello,

I use Safari on MacOs. Since a couple of days the main menu on the left in connect disappears, even when I click the menu open button

I can open it, but when I chose an option the menu collapse again, it used to stay open. Also, since the same time the Lactate Threshold screen shows only the current data. The graph on 4w and 12w are blank.

  • Running Win7, too.

Big thanks for the Yandex suggestion. It works; but this browser is ugly as *** !
    But... it works.

    Thumbsup

  • Well, Is till have an open ticket with an up to date McOS and an up to date Safari with the same problems, I guess they still support current versions, it also happens on my Mac with up to date Edge.

  • If we can't use the browser to download activities, routes, and manage workouts, we'll have to consider upgrading to a device that does. Thanks Garmin !!!

  • I gave Supermium a test drive, unfortunately, it's so laggy even on my overclocked 4.5GHz W7 PC. Preferably a light weight portable browser that I'll only use for Connect Web.

  • As mentioned in post # 1928659, through a chat session, Garmin Support created a case for this issue. Ref # 29959629K1 for those wanting to contact support and add themselves to the case. I followed up with their request to upload a video. Then there were some back-and-forth emails on April 29 (see below). The support agent did understand that it is an issue and not working as expected, but due to their triage process, it might take some time. They are aware of this thread.

Garmin Support: Thank you for the video. So, issue is the arrow at top left is not locking the sidebar open, correct? I am trying to get the video downloaded. I think I did ask but using all three browsers same issue and assume browser cached was cleared on each if doing that type of troubleshooting?

seilogramp: Exactly. The right pointing arrow used to lock the sidebar in place with all the icons and labels visible. I tested on Edge, Chrome, and Firefox. Cleared history, and cache. Also, tried on another computer on a different network, including my wife testing under her Garmin credentials. Same result.

Garmin Support: Ok I saw your link and we did not have a case for it yet so created and we might need to get back to you to get more info. Glad it is not a supercritical item but yes, we want it functioning properly. It may not be solved right away due to triage and other issues, but hopefully asap!

  • I had the same problem. The latest version of Thorium Browser M122 V4 (https://github.com/Alex313031/thorium-legacy/releases) works again.

  • Seilogramp, thank you so much for posting the shortcut links to the variuos fuctions of the troublesome menu tasks.  I run an older Windows 7 with the same problems everyone here is having, and you have provided a solution that will help me until/if Garmin fixes this menu flaw.  Thank You

  • Seilogramp,
Thank you so much for bringing this issue to Garmin's attention. I have the same shrinking black menu issue, but I also have
the additional problem of the functions that have blue icons (activities,Healt Stats, Performance, etc.) won't work.
The functions with orange or white icons will work, and the shortcut links you gave work too.
    Thank You,
    Joe IV
